  1. This is an awesome project, it is really looking great! Love the sculpted snake face......
  2. This is great model building, the skull and aviator cap are killer!
  3. That is awesome! The Willy's is super cool too! Nice job.
  4. Polar Lights '64 GTO built as a B/Stock drag car. Pretty much out of the box but has the following additions: Plug wires and oil drain plug added to engine, SD exhaust headers from the Revell parts pack with scratch built cut outs made from solder. They are finished with photoetched flanges. Steel wheels from the parts box: fronts from AMT '58 Chevy and rears from Revell Thunderbolt. Suspension is raised all around, with the front slightly higher. Interior has flocking added and side windows made from acetate with sponsor decals from Slixx. Rear tires are slicks from the kit with whitewall added. Thanks for looking! -Larman
  5. This started as a "pif" from another board. It was just the bare body, interior shell and frame. The idea is barn find/ patinaed car made into a gasser. AMT '40 Ford sedan delivery. Everything used is genuine "junk" parts. About the only nice items on it thus far are the rear tires and they were off a junked '57 Corvette gasser I bought. Engine will be a BBC with either a blower or tunnel ram and fenderwell headers. -Larman
  6. Finally finished the 1951 Chevy gasser, with very little time to spare until the new year! This started out as a built custom that had no direction. I bought it at the flea market for $2.50. Color: Testors Lacquers Huggar orange with black and silver interior. Engine/trans: 348 from AMT '58 chevy carb and air cleaner -MPC Switchers Front wheels: American 5 spokes from AMT '62 Chevy on AMT Firestones. Rear Wheels: steel wheels on slicks from AMT '58 Chevy. Front suspension, axle and traction bars: AMT '37 Chevy. Rear: AMT '57 Ford Seats: AMT '34 ford Pick up. Roll Bar: AMT '49 Ford Shifter: Ertl '50 Olds diecast bank. Moon tank: AMT '36 Ford Mufflers: AMT '66 Mustang. Scratch built/ modified items: Rear wheelwells radiused with lip, motor and trans mounts, fenderwell headers and exhaust. Thanks for looking! -Larman
  7. Thanks, the monster is actually done in sharpie on decal film. It was added after I drew it. I figured I would try it on this car because it is far from perfect, but I am not sure I would use the technique on something that is supposed to be flawless. -Larry
  8. Recently finished this'32 Ford. First pic is how I got it in a box of builts. The rest are after the resto. The idea was to try and keep the original "vibe",just make it a cleaner better build. Thanks for looking- Larry
  9. I built this Beer Wagon while on vacation in Florida. I painted the main parts with Tamiya Camel Yellow before we left. The model is basically box stock with some detail painting, but I did change the interior color to red. I also added red flocking for carpeting. This is the first Show Rod I have ever built in around 30 years of model building...I must say it was kinda fun! Thanks for looking! -Larman

  13. Fantastic work! These are great cars, and you got all the details just right! -Larman
  14. That is simply amazing work! I love looking at the in progress pics! This model is just outstanding, there is nothing more to say!-Larman
  15. That's cool. Looks very authentic! I like your other cars that you posted too, especially the altered T sedan. You know how to capture the look of the real "every day" drag cars of the old days very accurately! -Larman
  16. '51 Chevy gasser. I planned to begin my '70 Rebel funny car this month, but I am still gathering parts for it, and figuring out a paint scheme,so I decided to salvage it's P.O.S box mate.(I bought the Rebel and this clunker in the same box at the flea market for $5, it was a sadly built custom). This one is getting the gasser treatment. So far I installed a rear end from a '57 Ford, straight axle from the AMT '37 Chevy, radiused the rear wheel wells, Got it on wheels and tires and picked an engine. The motor will be a tri carb 348 from the AMT '58 Chevy. I am decking it out with the kits finned valve covers, carbs and chrome air cleaners are from the old AMT '57 Chevy(off the blower)and it will have scratch built fender well headers. Paint will be Hugger or (Huggar) Orange. The interior will have buckets from the AMT '34 Ford p.u., no back seat, a roll bar, the custom wheel from the kit, and will be black with silver. It will have traction bars from the '37 Chevy. As always, thanks for looking, and hopefully by the end of the month this heap will look a whole lot better! -Larman
  17. That is just outstanding work! But then again I was looking at some of your other posts, and it looks like all your models are outstanding! The level of detail in the Rommel's Rod is phenomenal! -Larman
  18. Just finished this Monogram '69 Super Bee. It is painted Tamiya TS-20 met.green and has a black painted top, which is a somewhat rare factory option. The paint was supposed to replicate the factory F6 bright green metallic, but it is much too dark. I also wanted to put the factory steel wheels on, but could not find a correct set in 1/24th, so on went the American Racing Daisies from an old Monogram '57 Chevy. The model has a resin bench seat with scratch built seat belts, radiator and heater hoses, plug wires, flocked carpeting and the rest is just foil and detail painting. All in all, this went together well, and I am glad it is finished. Thanks for looking. -Larman
  19. Look's great, I am glad these are easily attainable again!
