  1. It’s interesting, from a casting standpoint, that Brando was only 16 years older than Pacino and Caan, and just 11 years older than Cazale.
  2. Kit I bought online came with a completely caved in roof. I realize it’s a longshot, but does anybody have a spare body? I have stuff to trade. Thanks in advance. Matija
  3. Cool! Never seen this kit! But, yes, those wheels are atrocious!
  4. Thanks for the reply! Yes, it does seem a little pricey for a curbside kit, but definitely interesting and uncommon subject matter. I really do wish someone would make more recent BMW streetgoing M cars in styrene, because what Alpha model offers in resin is way beyond my hobby designated budget.
  5. Anyone aware of this? I literally just came across it for the first time! 2022 release, new tool. Looks kinda interesting! Anyone have more info? https://www.scalemates.com/kits/meng-model-cs-005-bmw-z4-m40i--1415258
  6. It’s just the support vehicle and not actually part of the rally, but yea, I hear ya… these hypercars are fun to see, but if I had that kind of money, I definitely wouldn’t buy any of them 😝 I just uploaded a few vids from this year’s event, btw, I hope they work!
  7. For the second year in a row, the world’s most exclusive supercar club organized one of its meets in Croatia, spanning over the entire weekend. The highlights of the gathering must be the Bugatti La Voiture Noire, only one in existence so far, one of two produced Apollo (former Gumpert) Intensa Emoziones, and one of three ever made Pagani Zonda HP Barchettas, which was, sadly, crashed into a Ford Fiesta in rush hour traffic yesterday, so not present today 🤦‍♂️ Other notable cars at the gathering were the all new Lamborghini Countach, Koenigsegg Regera, Aston Martin Speedster and McLaren Elva. I was also pleased to see the Porsche Carrera GT (in red, of all!) and two 918’s, including one in white, with the Weissach package Martini livery, as well as the Ferrari 599 GTO, Mercedes McLaren SLR, and McLaren Senna, none of which I had seen in person before (and have or plan models of all). Of course, there was also a number of other Paganis, including various Zonda and Huayra models, a bunch of Bugattis, including the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse WRC edition, and Chiron Pur Sport, as well as a total of five examples of the all electric Croatian hypercar, the Rimac Nevera. There were also apparently the Bugatti Centodieci and Divo, as well as Ferrari Monza and LaFerrari driving around, but I did not catch them. Divo and LaFerrari I saw at last year’s meet, so wasn’t too bothered, but was a bit disappointed to miss the Centodieci and especially the Monza. Oh well, next year perhaps! Hope you enjoy the vids of millions of dollars on wheels rolling over fine Croatian gravel accessing the racing strip 😝 IMG_2042.MOV IMG_2043.MOV IMG_2044.MOV IMG_2047.MOV IMG_2098.MOV IMG_2100.MOV IMG_2102.MOV IMG_2099.MOV
  8. Sorry, only just seeing this now! I can still play the videos, so not sure, to be honest.
  9. Got these. They are off a gluebomb, but not caked in glue. Chrome is not great, but I think they are useable for sure. Do you also need the chrome housing or just the red lens? Both or just one? Let me know and PM me your address, I got you covered 😎
  10. Let me check also… pretty sure I got one for you!
  11. His passing on Aug 12th seems to have gone under the radar, and I have just found out about it myself. While he will, unfortunately, mostly likely be best remembered in Hollywood for generic, action packed drivel such as Air Force One, he was, in fact, also responsible for one of the best, most atmospheric and tense war dramas ever shot on film, which is, of course, the German WW2 movie Das Boot. If you have not seen it, I highly reccommend this masterpiece of cinema.
  12. I’m looking for a friend and he needs it to be 1/24 scale.
  13. Looking for either of these two kits. Can be started or missing non-essential, interchangeable parts such as wheels, seats etc… Thanks in advance!
  14. The Ferrari California from this collection was originally owned by French actor Alain Delon.
  15. I appreciate the reply and explanation 🙂
  16. Why would it be unfair to compare? I don’t see how the size of the market is relevant here. If a house that was worth 10.000 bucks in 62 is now going for 500.000, there is no logical reason why a kit worth 2 bucks back then shouldn’t cost 30 bucks today. People say it’s the same kit, much like your house is also the same… sure, the products are the same, but one thing that has changed drastically and isn’t the same at all is the value of currency, which has depreciated because of inflation, which happens when… and this is where I have to stop because the next word in that sentence is a no-no here 😎
  17. Here we go again... Similar topics spring up quite often, and it seems like many people on here do not understand the concept of inflation. Simply put, one dollar in 1970 did not have the same absolute value as one dollar today - it was worth much more. Real cars back then cost a couple thousand dollars brand new! How much do they cost today? Prices then and now cannot be compared directly like that, without taking years of global inflation into consideration.
  18. Not a trade as such, but stitchdup (Les Budge from Scotland) came through for me with a rare part, so I hereby wanted to publicly express my appreciation and say what a great guy he is! Thanks!
  19. This is still available. My wants list is just a guideline. I will consider other offers.
  20. As it is visible from the pic, the kit is not pristine, many parts have been removed from the sprues, dechromed, and some have paint on them (main shell pieces are primered white), but it is 100 percent complete and nothing has been assembled/glued. Wheels have slight tire melt, but nothing that cannot be fixed. Instructions have seen better days and have some paint on them, but definitely usable. Decals are perfect. If required, I can provide more detailed photos/description of the state of the kit. All told, it is a fantastic, very detailed kit of my favorite ever motorbike, and I was going to build/finish it originally, but then decided it was too large for my preference and I got the smaller Tamiya 1/12 kit instead, so this one now has to go. I’d prefer to trade without the original box, due to size, but that is negotiable. I will be on holiday, away from my apartment, for a couple of weeks, so I’d hold any potential trades off until I return home, but I am posting this now as a feeler until then. As for my wants, despite the state of my Ducati, it is a fairly rare, long out of production kit so I’d like to trade it for a single complete and unstarted 1/25 or 1/24 car kit. My interests are pretty wide, however, and I will give most anything a chance, so do not hesitate to make me an offer, but I’d prefer newer kits and here is a shortlist of what I am currently looking for: REVELL “California Wheels” or “Lowrider” kits (37 Ford street rod, 59 Caddy - hardtop or convertible, 66 El Camino, 66 Chevelle wagon, 67 Chevelle, 58 or 60 Impala, possibly others…) “Trucks” series kits (37, 40 or 50 Ford, 64 fleetside or 65 stepside Chevies…) Various Camaros, preferably 67 SS or Nickey, possibly some earlier Pontiacs (no 80’s and 90’s cars please)… AMT/MPC 40’s and 50’s pickups (Coke or Texaco 50 Chevy 3100, or 60 Chevy with go kart, 34 or 53 Ford 3 in 1 kits…), 50’s, 60’s and 70’s landyachts (big Fords Starliner and Galaxy, Mercury Marauder…), four door cars (Supernatural Impala, police cars, taxis, Joker goon car…), 70’s vans (Phantom, Vantasy…) I also like European cars and would trade for various Fujimi/Hasegawa/Aoshima/Tamiya Porsches, Lamborghinis (Miura, Huracan or Aventador), Ferraris, BMW’s, Mercedes and other. I would also consider most Jo-Han kits, which can be decent rebuilders/junkers (especially Cadillacs)… Otherwise, I might also accept a trade for a couple “run of the mill kits”. Let me know what you have if interested in the Ducati, the worst I can do is refuse 🙃 Thanks! Matija
  21. Unfortunately, I cannot find a good pic of the decals I need, I’ve just seen them in youtube videos. However, as much as I appreciate your offer, I need the decal sheet from the latest release of the kit, because older ones do not have the detail I need. I need decals from the issue with this box art specifically: https://www.scalemates.com/kits/monogram-85-4505-1969-dodge-super-bee--1375152 Thanks!
  22. If anybody can spare one, I could use the entire decal sheet from the latest issue of the 1/24 Monogram Dodge Super Bee. Thanks in advance! Matija
