  1. technically, I can't talk about whether or not that's a rule.
  2. Thanks Skip. Thats true, Steve. "But it only cost me $2300." Lol
  3. I'm glad I got an order in last week. Time to make a list for one last round once they reopen.
  4. Thank you Sam and Dave. I kept telling myself the same thing. This looks like garbage!
  5. Thanks David and Rastislav. It deserves a nice base but this is for a contest in which we sell the builds to see which one gets the highest bid. I believe there are about 10 entries with this same kit. We'll see how it does against the rest.
  6. Thanks everyone. You're absolutely right Charlie. Something I have in mind for my next one.
  7. Doug is absolutely correct. This is a 56. Typo. Thank you al for your comments. Tom, I would love to get your feedback. I'm good if you do it here. im sure others may find it insightful too. I will tell you, I really enjoyed working on this one. The next one I will pay more attention to all the trim for sure. And maybe wear gloves more often. I was itchy every time I worked on it. Haha!
  8. Thank Rick, Richard and Mark. I found it more challenging than a shiny build.
  9. Alright everyone here is this one I just finished. Lots of fun. Learned a lot. A lot of pics.
  10. Thanks guys. I'll give it a shot. Thansk sky for the comments Carl, David and Andy.
  11. Thanks everyone and thanks for the tip, Craig. I'll have to try that.
  12. Thank Tony, Tulio, Craig and Harry. I thought I had done a good enough job of the black wash on the grille. Thanks for the tips. I'll have to touch it up because I see in the pictures what you guys mean. I'm torn on doing it to the wheels as well, Harry. Won't it dull it down?
  13. Thanks Ismail, Wayne, Terry and Ray. Appreciate you taking the time to comment.
  14. Had time sooner than expected to take pics. Enjoy.
  15. Thanks gentlemen. This was my first 36 and now I've had to stock up because I have different versions in mind. Johann - I didn't do the chop. The newer release allows you to build it one of three ways. Chopped seemed like the obvious way to go.
  16. Here's a teaser shot of the finished product. Once I get outside pics, I'll add them to the under glass section.
  17. You might be on to something Richard. Might have to try that on my next 36. Thanks for the idea.
  18. So went back to the kit grille. Just couldn't get the hood to align with the grille. Added taillights and chassis is ready. I think the height is what I was looking for.
