  3. Just something I through together over the weekend. I know, the door handles are missing, they fell on the floor and Cheyenne the dog got hold oh them. Got more coming in the mail. Thanks for looking, Al Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  4. Thanks guys. I had fun with this one and the colors was a shot in the dark and it worked, who'd a thunk. Al
  5. This is a build for an upcoming "Paper Bag Contest" and the blind color envelope I chose was yellow. So I decided to try Dupli-color Metalcast rattle can paint job. I started with their base coat, which is a silver heavy metallic and then applied their yellow. The 2 tone was achieved with their purple and 2 coats of the yellow on top. The body was then top coated with Testors Wet Look Clear. The interior is matching and the glass was tinted with 5 very light coats of Tamiya Clear Orange. The wheels and tires are Steven Zimmermann's excellent "Z Wheels" I also added a set of 50's period Spotlight/mirror combo units and I added MV's for the missing spotlight lenses. Does it need anything? Thanks guys, Al Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki

  7. Thanks Eric and Ray. I had fun with this one. AL
  8. I traded a guy a 69 Impala for this Blvd. Resin kit and I really like the way it came out. I painted it DuPont Ginger Metallic with Dark Brown interior and top. I used Alclad for the bumpers and grill, BMF was used on the rest. The wheels are out of the parts box and the tires are AMT's Firestone's parts pak. Thanks for looking, Al Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  9. Thanks Harry and Ray. This kit was a real joy to build. There is a lot of extra parts included that are not shown on the instructions, so I expect of versions should be coming. It is on the expensive side at $79.00, but well worth it. Al
  10. What a nice building kit. I painted it Testors Royal Blue Pearl with a Wimbledon White top and Testors Wet Look Clear top coats on both, The interior was done in Grey and Merlot 2 tone. This kit went together without any issues. Thanks for looking. Al Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  11. Thank you very much for the nice comments. Al
  12. Yes and includes these real nice white walls. You're going to love it.
  13. The 7 1/2 hours include paint. Tamiya rattle can paints dry very quickly. I doesn't have any clear coat at all, no wet sanding or polish were used. I only use a clear coat when painting Testors Lacquers. Both Testors and Tamiya have very fast drying time, I applied the BMF 1/2 hour after applying the last coat of maroon. I don't use enamel paint at all, since the model friendly lacquers came out. Hope this helps, PM me if you have any other questions. Al
  14. Thanks everyone for the nice comments. The paint is, Tamiya Maroon with Tamiya gloss Black as a primer. I wanted a deep non-metallic Maroon. The rear window was my only trouble spot, it needs a locator. I also tinted the glass with Tamiya clear blue. Al
  15. I built this one last Friday in 7 1/2 hours. I really enjoy the build with the exception of mounting the rear window, there's no recess in the body for mounting the glass. How does it look? Thanks Al Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  16. Yes, I use MV's a lot, especially when I loose a lens or like in this case where none were supplied.
  17. Here's a photo of my finished GT. Al Hosted on Fotki
  18. I removed the whole wheel well, because I used a pair of snips and it looked cleaner. Thanks
  19. Scott, The rear window fir fine. I did remove the rear inner fender wells, they made the rear end stance to high for my liking. The interior did fit better after these were removed. Also the decals came from Keith Marks and they are beautiful. How's it look now. Al Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  20. Here's pictures of the final Missing Link kit build. The only modification I made to the Revell kit, was to move the rear suspension forward 1/16 of an inch. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  21. Thank you for all the nice comments. It's painted Testors Grabber Green lacquer, with Wet look clear top coat. The only modification I did, was move the rear suspension forward 1/16 of an inch. I used the Revell 70 Torino kits windows, mirrors and Magnum 500 wheels. This is an excellent kit and is highly recommended. Thanks again, Al
