Thanks for the kind words, guys. I try to make the builds like this to look as real as I can.

Very interesting. I like it.

Thanks guys. This was an experiment, and I liked how it turned out. I used pastels for the moss and rust. I sprayed the hood and interior with this Marker Air Brush kit that I got at Hobby Lobby. You just insert a sharpie in and pull the trigger and spray away.

Here are some pics of a 61 Impala that I rusted and weathered. I tried to make it look like it sat in the woods for a long time and green mold is growing on the North side of the car. This is the first time that I've tried this.
In the back seat is a guitar, tv, rabbit ears and horn. On the front seat is a tire and battery.

Thank you. This was a feel good build for me.

Thanks Sean, but I really didn't want to use an engine. I do have one of the engine's that came with an engine stand that I'm going to pose with the car like the engine is being rebuilt.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I really enjoyed rebuilding this. Stuff like this keeps the "ol noggin working.

Thanks for all the kind comments, guys. I've been wanting to build a 2dr sedan for a very long time and I got the chance when a friend of mine had two of the Revell bodies and I went for the challenge. It's not perfect but looks good on the shelf. I mixed the color. I was going for an early 50's look and I think I got it pretty close.

My 1959 Impala sport coupe. 348, 3 speed on the tree. I converted the Revell 59 from an automatic, power steering to a 3speed on the tree. Removed the power steering stuff on the frame and no power brakes. Added a clutch and removed the automatic stuff on the steering column. Changed the bell housing and the transmission is a copy of one from the 57 Chevy. Added a 4-barrel carb instead of the 3 duces.

Nope, sure don't. I had this before I went into the Army back in 1966.
