Såg den här i facebookgruppen, ser häftig ut!

Yeah I was thinking either that or fixing it to something flat like glass and heat gently with a hair dryer.

Dug this one out of the stack. Finally found a color I looked. Dupli/Motip ColorWorks Copper. Very metallic, almost looks grainy in pictures. Clear still to be applied. Chassis needs to be unwarped.

If you compare this car to the Veyron, god this is a pretty car. Great work!

I'd say, if you're buying everything for the first time, spend some money on a good compressor, and save some money on the airbrush, a good compressor for me is more crucial than a good airbrush. At least for starters. Also it's better and more fun for the wallet to buy a new airbrush later on, than a new compressor.

That was quick! Looks great. Maybe a bit clean, I've never seen white rims that are actually white post- or pre-rally.

I wish you luck with the decals, but if I managed to build the Corolla, you'll make this with no problems. Dash looks great, and I agree, racing dashes are sooooo coooool.

The Mrs choise, I have to obey. "Fits the interior decoration, that way you can keep them in the living room". Women, cute creatures. I sometimes wonder how they function.

Shot the engine/tranny and the doors with the accent color. This petrol/turquoise will be used in the interior, chassis, wheels and engine. Body will be mostly primer grey. Next up finishing the powerplant. Washes, carb, wiring etc. C&C welcome.

That paint isn't glass smooth,it actually makes glass jealous. Fantastic build.

Got the paint for the wheels/chassis/engine/interior details.

Headlights looks better. I thought they were removable. I understand that alclad would be scary.

I can snap some pics when i get home. The rear was tricky, had to cut some off of the framerails and when I almost got it as low as I wanted but not quite enough, I cut the wheel hubs in half and glued the halves back together with a slight offset. So the driveshafts doesn't quite align with the centers of the wheels, but that's something I'll have to fix later down the road. Form>function amirite Pics are coming.

In my opinion, all though I'm from Sweden and we probably have 90% of all Caddys made, they took well over 100 years to make a beautiful car. The CTS-V. The later the prettier. I mean, comparing their abominations to the creations of other makers throughout the years, Ford, Dodge, Chevy, even the Japanese from 60's and forth...

Thanks Richard, Dennis and Ray. I'm happy with the stance, it's evil enough to set the tone for the build...

Resto-Mods & Modern Hot Rods
fitforbattle replied to afx's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'm just gonna say that I partially agree with all of you, on some or all parts. I don't like the look of "Pro Touring", but some of them I can appreciate. Some are cool. Some are well built, some has soul. However, I'd very much see bigger vented disk brakes on all cars. I'm currently driving around in a '01 Opel Astra Sedan, with worn out drums in the back. If they were disks, I'd fix them immediately, but drum servicing is a PITA. Of course, this is what I currently feel about drum brakes due to my situation, and pretty much has nothing to do with the thread, but come on guys, you can't hate on maintenance-easy, reliable superstoppers. -
Thanks Carl. Need to buy some paint for this so it's kinda stranded atm. Please tell me if I'm using any terms wrong or something. Robin

Thanks a lot! Good reading Now to make a presentable carburetor and stuff. -
Really cool project as always. I'll follow along, as always.

As if I didn't have enough on my workbench,I started this kit. I do not know a lot about fords, rods, three window, five windows etc. All I know is what I've seen in magazines and from the Swedish rod scene. I hope you'll enjoy this build as much as I will. I started out by mocking up the wheels and tires and lowered the suspension enough to get it slammed, then I removed the drip lists on the sides and scribed new door lines. Then I removed the pillar in the rear window. Partly because I like the look of it but mainly to practice freehand scribing. Some more cleaning up needed before the next layer of primer.
