  3. Yordan, Thanks for the tips. I user a light Grey wash on my diorama. I thought the doors didnt look right. So i added a wash of White and it toned the doors down. I am still working on more washes. Not sure where to go next. Tours looks really good. Ive round on u tube a series of video Valles Boulder Creek Railroad lots of good Ideal there.
  4. I tried a wash on the building. I've never done this before so i really dont know what I'm doing. Let me know what you think. I'm always open to suggestions as well. Thanks for looking.
  5. Greg Thanks for the tip. Where the crack appears to stop is where the island for the pumps go. Here is a pic to show what i mean.

  7. I do plan on dirt, grime, and oil spots. I have a long way to go yet. Like everything else with this project, it will develop a life of its own.

  9. Started doing some detail to the base. Cracks in the concrete have been installed. Comments are welcome. Feel free to pick it apart. I need honest comments to be able to improve.
  10. Thanks for the tips. Going to have to try that Tamiya putty. My biggest issue is smell. My hobby room is right off our kitchen so smell is an issue.
  11. I was using some spot filler on a project today. The smell is bothering my wife , and frankly this stuff stinks. Since the high outside was 12 and the low -7 I can't ta me it outside. Any suggestions for a alternative that doesn't have any fumes. Thanks for your help.
  12. Really cool. I've done some HO scale vehicles myself. They are a challenge and alot of fun. Lots of subjects not found in lsrger scales.

  17. My wife tells me that the materiale i user is called Tulle. The smallest amount i could get was 1/8 of a yard, it will last forever.
  18. I wanted to replicate security glass in the shop door. So I went to Hobby Lobby and got some lace type material and and applied it with Microscale clear gloss.
  19. Thanks for the kind comments. It's amazing to me that dioramas never seem to be done. There's always one more thing to add.
  20. Started on the interior of the gas station. I hadn't intended to get this involved, but it seems to have developed a life of its own. Your thoughts....
  21. Time for an update. My time at the bench has been spuratic lately. This is where I'm at. The siding is done. The garage doors and entry doors are installed. The roof and the island are my next projects. Comments are welcome. It helps me see where I can improve or what just looks wonky to the average eye. Thanks for looking.
