  1. Nice model and neat details. The weathering on the load bed items is terrific. I, too, wish this kit were still available, as my father used to have one that I'd like to replicate for him. By the way, where in the world did you find old style crab baskets in scale?!
  2. Fantastic and creative build as always, Blair. I would love to see a WIP / tutorial on how you built the box, as this is exactly what I need for a replica build I'm planning.
  3. I love cab overs in general, and this one in particular. Model on Blair!
  4. That is one tough lookin' truck. Nice clean building too.
  5. That is just too cool. Impressive kit bashing/scratch building. I bet that would be a blast to drive.
  6. Impressive in all respects.
  7. Very nice model of a beautiful car. Can you recall what paint you used? That's a very interesting color.
  8. Try the dollar stores. They often have cheap ($1.00) ornaments and novelty items that include fiber optics.
  9. Some nice kit bashing and scratch building going on here, and some nice models as a result. Now if I could just find a B210...
  10. WOW! There is so much to like about this build. Intriguing engineering, intricate scratch building, very convincing weathering and overall build quality coupled with your artistic vision makes for a very impressive model. In other words; I like it!
  11. Of cars that I have owned, my favorites were: '67 Firebird convertible '72 Karman Ghia convertible Cars that I wish I owned: Toyota 2000 GT '39 Plymouth coupe Opel GT (actually the first car I ever drove)
  12. Maybe this will suit your purpose: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-25-G-scale-Doberman-Pinscher-dog-figure-/171774819942
  13. Thanks, Harry. It sounds like that is my problem, exactly.
  14. Thanks. Now to see if I can find a '57 glue bomb at a reasonable price. If not, I might try the unused boot from my '51.
  15. They can also be used without sandpaper for pre-polishing paint and for final polishing on aluminum.
  16. Airbrushed over shiny black base coat at approximately 20 psi.
  17. I haven't had very good luck with this. It comes out looking like brass colored metallic paint. Of course, it could be something I'm doing wrong in the application. Any advice here would be greatly appreciated.
  18. What about Tamiya's 'Metal Primer' ? I bought some of this for priming PE parts on my armor builds and I've been wondering if it would be suitable for a die cast body; I have a couple Gabriel kits coming up in the stash line.
  19. My plan is to convert the "Christine" Belvedere into a convertible and I'm looking for suggestions as to a source for the top boot (I'm planning to model it with the top down). I'm not sure my scratch building skills are up to making it myself, but if that's the way I have to go, I'd appreciate any advice you guys can give me in that regard as well. Thanks, in advance.
  20. Perfect paint color and nice wheel swap; I'm not fond of the stock wheels on this either.
  21. Fantastic weathering and perfect placement of the "cancer" spots. And, for once, the mounting holes for the missing trim look in scale (so few get this right). the only thing that's not convincing is the price on the windshield; That's way too low for having the 409 still under the hood.
