This was a quick little fun project I wrapped up not long ago. These were super limited multi-media kits put out for a brief time. It consisted of several brass photo-etched sheets, some resin tires and wheels. I drew the decal art, and they were printed by Mark Renaldo. This particular car was raced by Kevin Gundaker out of the St. Louis area in the 90's. To see how it how it all went together, check out the video I made on it here.

Some of you may remember this one from earlier this year when I started on it, for a YouTube build series on my channel. I got part 1 out and then a busy Summer, and other projects got in the way. But I finally got it finished up, and Part 2 was uploaded as well. This is pretty much the box stock, WMCC kit, I added the front screen, and used the chrome wheels and air cleaner from his accessories kit. Finished up a quick build of the Salvino's JR round headlight Monte Carlo. I just built this one up box stock to get a feel for things and see how it went together. I had also got a new batch of Powerslide decals I was itching to try out. I did a few adjustements to the body.....I opened up the side window openings slightly to make them match the size of the quarter window along the top. I also did some trimming in the grill/headlight area so the the chrome bumper and center grill could go up higher into the body. Basically just trimming the lower edge under the headlights and the hood. Making the front look a little less bulky. I also sanded down some of the body lines to soften the look a little bit. The body was painted with a base coat white, and cleared with Omni 2 part clear. Then the really cool foil Powerslide decals were added. Once the whole model was finished I spit some rubber black paint along the lower edges and leading edges of the hood and roof with the airbrush to show some race grime. And the completed model.......Also a bit of a personal plug, if you are on Instagram or Facebook I am starting my own model specific pages at both places to show more of what I work on from day to day. Thanks everyone....this one is done! I added some scratch built antennas, and some decal window tabs to the front window. As well as the Pro Tech hood pins and as sheet plastic front splitter. The rest is pretty much box stock. Thanks for looking! CK

I've been working on this off and on the last few months. Hope to have it wrapped up soon. This is the #21 Ryan Blaney Wood Brothers Ford he ran in two races in 2016. I believe I used the Danica Revell glue Ford kit. Pretty much box stock. I did add Mike's Decals carbon fiber decals to the seat, and dash. Body was painted with a mix of Gravity Colors red and maroon. Then cleared with Omni 2 part clear, and polished out. The VT decals are from Ace Decals. A fantastic set of decals. They went on great, and fit really well. The tires and wheels are th kit ones just sanded and detailed. Ryan's car had a unique set of wheel stripes at both of those races, so I tried to capture that. Double neon red lines on the front, and wide, white ones on the back. A few body details, and I can do final assembly, and finish this one up. And I plan to use some Pro Tech hood pins to finish it off. Thanks for looking! Clay

Getting started on a new "detailed" Nascar project. This will be a car I've wanted to do for a while. Casey Mears 2005 Target Breast Cancer Dodge Charger from the fall Martisnville race. This scheme ran in '04 on an Intrepid body, and also in '05 as a Dodge Charger. I loved the look of the old snorkle nose Chargers from that year, s othat's the version I am going for. I started with a Revell Intrepid kit, and a Perry's Resin Charger body I've had for years. I believe it was mastered my Mr. Nascar a long time ago and cast by Perry's. I was lucky enough to get one at the time. So I started by cutting off the resin nose at the back of the front fenders, and merged it onto the plastic Intrepid body. Once it was in place, I cut the doors at the body line, and made new lower doors from .040 sheet plastic to make the doors smooth, and to give the body the proper rake. It really changes the whole look of the kit body. I've also started reworking the drivers side window frame, cut the roof flap boxes out, and redid the fuel filler with aluminum tubing. Next I will hinge the hood and trunk, and start reworking the Interpid quarter windows into the Charger shape. Here's the 1:1 at Martinsville. Here's my body work progress so far. I've also got started on modifying the chassis. Long way to go on it. Thanks for looking...should have more soon! CK

Finally got Chase's '16 Napa Chevy finished up. I did a few mods to the rear bumper to make it into his Daytona super speedway car. Powerslide Napa decals, as well as Powerslide's new Carbon Fiber seat and dash decals. Paint is Tamiya Mica Blue, with Omni 2 part clear. I added a Brandon Miller 3D printed front splitter, an some roof antennas and roof camera. Pretty happy with how it turned out, and glad to get it off the bench! Thanks for looking...CK

I've bought quite a few of Brandon's parts....and I can tell you. They are fantastic! I really like how his wheels and hubs turned out. They will be great for a "wheels off" display.
