  1. Man that turned out NICE! really a sharp build, the fit of the hood/cab looks great too!.........................................Mark
  2. Pogo stick looks great Sean! what did you use for the glad-hand ends?........................................Mark
  3. Pretty sure the kit trans. represents an Allison 3000HR 4-speed automatic, but not 100% sure on that.........................Mark
  4. Forgot to add the pic of the Ford kit, this body MAY be a little short, but might be adaptable to your needs?............................Mark
  5. Those wheels are indeed correct for a 60 Chevy 0ne ton truck, the wheels and tires would probably have to be gotten from one of the resin casters? I don't know of a good kit source for those. There are several kit versions available for the truck though. The stakebody would probably be best scratch-built,but there are a few kits that had one that may work, the Lindberg 34 Ford truck has one very similar.............................Mark
  6. I agree with the others Sean, nice color choice! coming along nicely........................................Mark
  7. Try RIT brand clothing dye, works good for me on tinting windows, not sure if they offer yellow though?....................................Mark
  8. Made a great trade with Lucas (Trick My Mixer) great trader, would'nt hesitate at all to make a future deal!................................Mark
  9. Sam,i've seen that place, you were only a short distance from my house!............................Mark
  10. I want a few of those sleepers for up-coming projects, kinda curious to know how well the chrome will hold up at the attachment points, when you cut it off the sprues?..................................................Mark
  11. UPS man brought my most recent bonanza from the "bay" today! been wanting these for a while now, built most of them when I was a kid,but thought maybe now I'd do a LITTLE better job on them! already had the tanker and log truck,so now the set is complete!.......................................Mark
  12. I need a TON of the round turn-signals!.................................................Mark
  13. X2,i wouldn't mind having one of those White 4000 hoods!.........................Mark
  14. I agree with Clayton,a set of doubles CAN be backed up,not the easiest thing in the world to do,but not imposible either. I drove a wrecker when I was younger, and have actually backed a tractor/trailer behind the wrecker into many a shop....................................Mark
  15. Here's a Volvo D-13,pretty close to DD green I think?...............................Mark
  16. Jim,a friend of mine has a 2000 Volvo with a Volvo engine,it is almost the same color a DD Alpine green or what I would describe as "hospital green"...................................Mark
  17. That's some nice work,especially for a first kit!.................................Mark
  18. Looking good Sean! I like that color!....................................Mark
  19. Magnadyne-Gasoline=Green 1940's/50's Themrodyne-Diesel-Gray,Dark Gray 1950's/60's Maxidyne-Diesel=Mack Metallic Gold (Engine and trans.) 1960's/70's E-Series-Diesel=Gray,Dark Gray1980's/90's MP-Series (current) some are red/black,some are Mack Gray1990's/current Macks vendor engines (IE: Cat,Cummins,Detroit) were installed in chassis in the color of the brand of particular maker,a Caterpillar engine is very rare in a Mack, but were installed........................................Mark
  20. The early Magnadyne (gas) Mack engines were indeed green, the later (modern) Mack engines are gray (The E-7 in my CX is gray) Krylon "Smoke" gray is a good match,i use it for touch up on the actual engine. Personally,i have never had any problems with Krylon etching the plastic I kits, but may be the primer you're using?..........................Mark
  21. The Cummins engine in the D/R should be Cummins Engine beige, a light tan color (Krylon Khaki is a good match) Only truck maker that I know of that painted their engines gold is Mack, the late 60s through the early 70's Hope that helps!.......................Mark
  22. As a "dye in the wool Mack man" my compliments on an outstanding model! an integral sleeper B-Model has long been on my wishlist to build. I cannot see one thing that looks out of place, and glad the Mack Museum was able to provide refrence material, they are great people to deal with..................................Mark
  23. That's a good one! don't see many Kenworth C-500 "Brutes" anymore!.........................................Mark
  24. Casey,Mack has installed radiator/grille guards as an option on trucks since the 1900's meant to protect the radiator/hood from damage primarily on vocational trucks,ie: dumps, mixers, wreckers etc. Here are a couple examples on early Macks, an AK-6 and a later L-series and the ever popular B-Model...................................Mark
  25. That's a very nice build especially for a first! my first was nowhere near that nicely built! I agree on the color choice too, looks great. Welcome to the hobby,we are all here to help!............................................Mark
