  1. Ive seen the issue before and its been hashed here before.

Myself, I have a built original issue 71 Duster in the case. and an unbuilt 72 Duster to build. So all the current 71 Dusters I have will be old prostock replicas. Will I change the / alter the C pillar? Not likely

    Pictures are .

Lime green MPC 1972 Duster in the fore ground

All white the Current 71 Demon in the center

White / primer is the current 71 Duster in the rear

  2. How about a 70-71 Dodge Dart

Otherwise I Cant say Ive really got much on my radar . except maybe an early Dodge Truck

The 68 Coronet  and Demon are 2 I never expected to see again. So Im good

A 67 Cougar might catch my interest though as I used to own one

If none of the above materialize. Im good. I have MORE than enough to keep me busy till the end of my days.

I assume those were sourced via Wal-Mart.   Seems like the distribution is really slow on these kits.

No idea. at least 2 of the sellers have had a few dozen . All at $29.99 plus postage

I stopped by my local hobbyshop today and asked about them and they havent had a single one

I'm just going to wait for my Hobbylinc order.

That won't change the fact that the rear deck and quarters look like a pallet full of batteries were dropped on the trunk lid! :o

I was a little surprised when this thread came up.

I hadn't really looked at this kit until now, but now that I have, it's pretty bad.

Surprising considering the fact that people are usually praising Revell's work, and bashing AMT and MPC.

One thing I gotta say is, while a lot of the old MPC and AMT molds are pretty well hashed at this point, producing a number of problems, at least for the most part, the bodies were pretty accurate.

I'm kind of glad that I'm building pretty much nothing but vintage kits these days.

At least I don't have to deal with this stuff.

Agreed, Outside of maybe a couple dozen modern kits I want to do . Old annuals makes up probably 70-80 percent ( or more )  of my build plans the next few years. Mostly quick simple rebuilds and in the case they go.

This has to be one of the biggest auto kit releases in the US in years.  I built it in 1971 and to think I got rid of that kit!

Agreed, Once  the demand falls off I will probably get a couple more.  I have a couple Pro Stock versions I want to build as well as a replica of my old car.

And I think the 68 Coronet hardtop will be just as much in demand.,,,,if not more so.

Out of stock... Glad I ordered from a hobby shop.

I talked to the counter guy at a local hobby shop. He has them ordered . But as of last week, no release date when he gets them. And based on other stuff he has, Im thinking they will be in the upper $30s price range ea.

    Hobbylink still shows not avail

I bought 2 of them off ebay , just to be safe.

I've missed out on a couple kits the past few years because I waited,,,,I wasn't taking the chance with these.

  9.  Having recently retired from the day to day work force.

I've decided to do some modeling projects that have boxed away for several years.

1st up is a replica of a friend's car. I started long ago.

Petty blue 440 six barrel Superbird.

    Johan body and interior tub.

    Amt chassis.

Parts box drivetrain for multiple cars ( still need to find some pieces I had for it. )

Spent the day today polishing imperfections from paint that's at least 10 years old.

    Long way from perfect

But I can live with it.20240106_162158.thumb.jpg.bd7a658a07da052c91cd662df6ef77dd.jpg20240106_162153.thumb.jpg.8c5ed91f0b5643d83f61d36bae6ec947.jpg

That looks really nice Bill, and just reinforces my thought to not use the hood stripes and spoiler "when I get mine".

IMO the hood stripes work if its a light color. White, yellow , butterscotch or maybe a light green,

On a darker color,,,not so much. I much prefer a body color hood .

The wing I could live with,,,or without
