  1. Here we have the third replica I built from a car I sold.

Back on the shelf, a black '56!!!

Didn't do any of the panel separation lines, as the original car didn't have them.

I think I'm getting the painting mojo back.

I say, if you want a red and white car, build a red and white car! Do it YOUR way. Let's say you were a young man around the year 1971, and you bought a used '56 Ford that needed a repaint. Wouldn't you have had it painted red and white?! Model THAT car. Maybe you'd even add a few performance goodies under the hood, or some after-market wheels...😉

That's the fun of being a factory stock builder. You have to research the car and obey what the factory would do or not. I want to build a replica of a car on the dealer showroom.

But wait, I already have a kit to build a pretty fast hot rod from.

  3. Just started this one.

Finished yesterday a replica of my solid black '56 Ford, and I'm in the 1956 theme I guess.

I have a doubt about the color.

Wanted to do something Christine like, with a white roof, and red body. Went to my Ford books, and this color combo was not available on Fairlanes...

Fairlanes could be single tone, and Style Tone two tone, but not the simple two tone.

Soooo I'm thinking on a Meadowmist Green and Colonial white car.

    Not decided on color yet.

Started the build by deepening the shoot line on the trunk, ans adding the separation lines on the cowl, and lower front fenders.

  4. This Vicky is the most accurate I could get in replicating a model car I sold back in 2019.

Hope to build more replacement cars for my almost empty glass display.

Welcome back, comrade! It's been a long minute since.

I have subscribed to your YouTube channel --- I may've sent a message to you via that forum?

    Thanks!!

For some unknown reason, YouTube is not sending me notifications. I have to look video by video to see if some new comment was posted.

John, just tell me what video you commented on and I'll respond.

    Really sorry about that.

  6. Another one I was able to buy back.

The model car collector that had it installed red wheels and wide whites. I liked that. Decided to leave as it is.

All weathering was done by brush over a flat black base.

This car is made out of parts I was going to trow away, so it's kind of a mix.

AMT body and frame, Lindberg fenders and interior.

Great looking Ford.  I really like the color.  What's that license plate from?

    Thanks for the love gentlemen.

    Licence plate is from Brazil.

We have the Mercosul plates now, but I built this kit before. When restoring it I just kept the plates.

  8. Well, it's being a long a difficult time for me since a last posted, but now I'm trying to restart the model building.

Since I sold all my built models, and my stash, I guess now is the beginning of a new journey.

I plan on rebuilding all my model cars.

The start is not a build but a repair of one of my cars I could buy back. Had to take her all apart and repaint. The paint was old and didn't polish well. Or maybe I need more practice :) Still have all my tools and airbrushes so it will not be a problem.

Hope you guys like this Ford. It was the best I could do.

  9. It's being so long since I posted something, I thought to reintroduce myself.

So many new faces around here, what is great. More people to keep the hobby alive and well.

My name is Túlio Lazzaroni Spósito, I live in southern Brasil, and I'm grandson of Italian immigrants.

I can understand and speak Italian, but for some reason I tend to write very badly.

I also speak Russian a bit, and I'm learning Spanish.

I'm a civil engineer, and in February 2019 I lost my job, and had a flooding in the house.

That took me to a very bad depression, and I'm getting better just now. 2019 and 2020 were very hard years for me.

Now, I'm working on Ford V8 cars (mostly Mavericks and Galaxies, with a Flathead era car once in a while), and building models under commission.

Have two Galaxies (Brazilian), a 2001 Ford Focus I love, and 8 kids of the feline kind.

Will try to keep myself active here, but working on cars during the day, and on model cars during the evening, I believe I wouldn't be as active as I once were.
