  1. If you can find a MAN F90 or F2000 wreck with a double bogle system it will match (it's almost the same truck)
  2. My first truck kit was the AMT-Matchbox MACK Cruise Liner. A kit that was given to me. Not a real success. Should rebuild it
  3. Here a progress started for at least 3 years (yes I'm taking my time ) It was interrupted because of a painting problem : the spray paint did not stay on the white curved parts beneath the cab. Finally I used brushes, and, it worked !
  4. Sorry, I'm not Pavel but I can answer this question, because it's one of my favorite truck manufacturer : it's a "Berliet" (I'm putting comas, because in fact, Italeri took it's Renault R360 moulds, but it's not a "critic", this model wasn't reissued for years and it was one of the most wanted reissues of Italeri I think in Europe.....People even said that the moulds were broken...) To be a real berliet, this model needs surgeries on the cab and chassis. Indeed, the cab has not the openings for the glasses on the both sides and on the back. You need to create them. The art box lies !! Here an example Berliet no longer exists and belongs to Renault Trucks, but this cab created in the 70's existed till the late 90's !!!
  5. You can get this kit only at this shop : http://www.modelmakershop.com/modelmakershop/ because it's a limited edition (1000 kits) created by and for this shop : the kit costs 150€ (shipping cost excluded) Send them an e-mail asking them if the kit you want is always available, because, it still doesn't appear on their site I think (there is only one person to handle reception, order and shipping) EDIT : I've not written quickly enough ! lol
  6. there's only 1000 kits, half are already sold I've read and the price is 150 € (shipping cost excluded)
  7. No main problem in the building process, the plan is clear, excepted that I have to remove some parts I added to the engine, to place correctly Revell parts, to let the cab go correctly on the frame. Second one was with the opening-door system which was not well fitted. I have to make some surgery cut to let the doors go in their frames. And of course the opening system broke at the first try, too fragile ! I still can open them but very carefully. Here I started the trailer and it's not the same thing....evenso it's a revell one. There are mistakes on the part's number (hopefully you see them quickly) the plan is not clear on the way to place the parts and there are even moulding mistakes on the parts themselves ! Unbelievable !
  8. For my drybrushing I take a n°6 or 8 wide brush. First I apply the n°70, I dip barely the brush in the paint and wipe off the excess on a paper towel. The brush must be almost..dry... Then I apply it here and there over the part. I do the same with the n°85 (but much lightly than the 70 color) Well it's not that easy to explain with words, moreover when it's not your native language I hope my "explanations" '^^ will help you a little.
  9. I used a kind of "dry brush" of Humbrol 85 on the lower chromed parts, and painted the inside of the exhaust pipes with the same reference. For the parts between the engine and the exhaust pipes main color is Humbrol 56, then dry-brush with Humbrol 70 and 85. Did I correctly answer the question ?
  10. engine connected. Wheels glued.....to preserve my mental health....
  11. I've been mistaken, it's not what I've said before, just re-read it '^^ Should have zoomed on the text before
  12. Yes the "paint" on the Volvo represents Miners, in rememberance of the coal mines exploited in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais till the 90's and the hard life of their workers and families had. Concerning the truck pics, I'm not an expert, so it will be very global : the 1st one is a Volvo F 88 (Sweden) produced from 1965 to 1977, a real success story in Europe. The 2nd one is a Scania 111 (Sweden) from 1958(L75) to +/- end of the 70's (111) The 3rd one is a Hanomag-Henschel F 221 (Germany) the company no longer exist and was bought by Mercedes The 4th is a Berliet (France) TR 280 : 1978 to 90's. The company is under RENAULT flag since 1978 but the cab design of this truck was used until the early 90's with some face liftings and improvements the 5th is a SAVIEM (France) TP170 : belongs to RENAULT since 1955 In fact four companies were grouped under SAVIEM brand : Latil-Renault-Somua-Floirat Will be continued...
