That's just great. Takes me back to Greenville - Pickens Speedway, circa 1956.

Keep it simple. No dues, very few rules if any. After working in the SCCA as a Regional Executive in 1991 and 1992, I became burned out because of doing most of the work and all the rules. When I started Scenic City Miatas in Chattanooga, I made every effort not to use any ideas from the SCCA that turned me and others off. We've been going strong since 2000. Some members come and go but the group stays pretty much intact. As for Facebook, that's a good idea. The local SCCA region as well as Scenic City Miatas and a local model car club all have FB pages. However, I would also strongly suggest a googlegroup email service or whatever service you want to use for ciommunications. Many of our Miata members have an email account, but surprisingly, some don't even have a computer. Don't lean on FB too much right away. Some of the members have computers but disdain FB

I haven't measured it since I "calibrated the dial". When I first built it, the temp stayed steady for a couple of hours. I think I'll check it again and see.

Basically, that's what they are, just big models. Yours looks like mine does now. The new owner painted it black. Yours is a beautiful ride too.

Here's my ride. Sold it a few years ago.

I decanted my first can of French Blue into a small Mason (canning) jar recently. I can fills a jar about 1/2 way up. The seal is good and the paint hasn't thickened in 3 weeks. I'm thinking the seals may degrade over time from exposure to the chemicals in the paints. The best thing is I got a dozen for about $8.00 at WM.

Should work as long as you can get the temp down around 100-110F. Ah go karting. Tried that back in 1989 and promptly broke my back. Raced motocross, hare scrambles and enduros and never hurt myself. Thought go karts would be safer since I'd turned 45 in 1989 and wanted "something safer".

That'll make a $6.19 can of paint cost you $3.71 each, plus tax. You can only use 1 coupon per visit per person but I print extra coupons and get the better half to buy for me too. Hope this helps.

I'm a novice builder but I decanted some French Blue and shot it through an air brush. It worked fine without thinning.
