  2. Got this as a Christmas present from Dad. Not a bad kit. Pretty easy build. fits together nicely. I don't like the colors of the Baja, so I made a stock Bronco. 3. Olson Bros website - NEW Bronco/Truck parts Guys, get them now and avoid a long wait. Plan on a few weeks delivery time anyway, possibly a little longer depending on how many orders come in. I have to hand it to 'lil bro, he really went all-out on these and here are just a few pics of what's available now. -EXPECT SHIPPING DELAYS!- Also, if you have communication issues, shoot me a note and I'll see what's up.
  4. Didn't know that it was such a wanted vehicle, but then again it had much publicity back in the day.
  5. Guys, Chris is back to normal health again and has more Bronco parts listed. I'll get the website updated soon, but the eBay store is stocked again. https://www.ebay.com/str/olsonbrothers [Edit to add] The website is back up, we're still working on a new design with a shopping cart but it's www.resincastmodelparts.com for anyone that's interested.
  6. Hi all, Here is my completed build of the Revell Bronco. The body is painted with craft acrylic paint. Scratch-built parts include the front and rear bumper, 2 inch body lift, roof rack and tie downs. The interior is finished up with brown flocking, 5 point racing harnesses for the front seats and under dash gauges from Pro Tech. The rear seatbelt hardware is from Model Masters. I used the kit engine block and transmission, but replaced the intake and valve cover with the EFI set up from the 5.0 engine in the Revell 32 5 window coupe kit. All of the wiring, and pluming and flex fan are parts from Pro Tech. The wheels and tires are from the Revell Jeep Rubicon kit. The fender flares are from Fireball Model Works. Also, I added aluminum tubing for the exhaust tips. Thanks for looking.
  7. Hey guys, Olson Brothers is at it again with a new, handmade soft-top for the Revell Bronco that will fit either the original version or the new Baja Bronco kit that's coming out. There are also new side rails and much more available on our "favorite" site.
  8. One of my Better looking trucks. Came out real nice. Very good kit. 1 (92) by Eric Lucas, on Flickr 1 (94) by Eric Lucas, on Flickr 1 (97) by Eric Lucas, on Flickr 1 (99) by Eric Lucas, on Flickr 1 (100) by Eric Lucas, on Flickr 1 (101) by Eric Lucas, on Flickr SAM_2199 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr SAM_2200 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr
  9. I didn't see much different between the forthcoming Revell Baja Bronco and the existing Revell Ford Bronco kit, but after looking at enlarged images, there are a few noteworthy changes: Hexagonal wheel arches with integral fender flares New tires (anyone recognize them to be a replica of a real tire?) Newly engraved nameplate above the front side marker lights(?) Instruction sheet is up and downloadable: http://manuals.hobbico.com/rmx/85-4436.pdf Pics of the new Baja Bronco and the existing Ford Bronco, for comparison:
  10. I have been working on this somewhat of a replica of the 66'/67' Ford Bronco's that were used by the "SPECIAL FORCES" in VietNam. There were only a few of them built, no pics of them etc so I used my imagination on this build. I hope that no one gets offended by it. First off before anyone gets upset that some of the parts are a bit rough...they are intentional because I know for a fact that the early Broncos were a bit utilitarian and not really to well fitted in some places. Also, portraying the rough treatment of the vehicle being in Nam as well. The trailer is another bronco that I did last year and didn't like the finished project so I made the thing into a trailer for this build. Hitch ball is a straight pin, the hitch on the trailer is actually taken from the original bumper and cut to fit etc so the ball fits into it. The flags came from some packages that I received with parts for my knife making endeavors. I know there were no flags on the doors of Army vehicles back then but there is on mine. The M-.50 CAL. machine gun was taken from a old WWll Jeep parts box. Gotta have a .50 cal. chopping up the jungle after all! The wheels, tires, fender flares, rear tire are all from Joseph @ http://www.fireballmodels.info/ He's the best! Fair pricing, quick service, and great products. Give him a holla. The weathering is more about showing the dreaded mud that I sloshed through when I was in VietNam in 68. So without further BS take a look at my pics my "BLACK OPS" Bronco. Enjoy
  11. We decided to do a same kit build this year in our club (NorthCoast Auto Modelers) and everyone picked the bronco as the kit. For some reason, the low rear wheelwells on the early broncos make me think of 50s customs. I decided to fully embrace this, and make a bronco convertible lead sled. Here is a somewhat crude photoshop of whats going on in my head on this one (not the color and patina.. actually thinking a baremetal body). So first things first it needed to be a bit longer. so i had to buy 2 kits... and combine them. Added about 5/8"behind the door opening... and about 1/4" to the door to get the proportions all to work. then i needed to tackle the angle back... so i used the front fenders from the scrap body. After some sanding and some fenderskirts this is how it looks now: working on finishing off the slantback with the extra hood... hopefully that happens tonight.
  12. I just happened to come across these parts on ebay today. All new to me at "Olson Brother's resin parts"! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Olson-Brothers-Resin-Roadster-Doors-for-new-Revell-1-25-Ford-Bronco/252892581943?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D40130%26meid%3D04b4ccab437f467b8398ed1f77d5015e%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D252903587753 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Olson-Brothers-Resin-Full-High-Clearance-Rear-Quarters-for-Revell-1-25-Bronco/252892553994?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D40130%26meid%3D04b4ccab437f467b8398ed1f77d5015e%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D252903587753 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Olson-Brothers-Resin-Cast-High-Clearance-Hood-for-Revell-1-25-Ford-Bronco/252892563707?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D40130%26meid%3D04b4ccab437f467b8398ed1f77d5015e%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D252903587753 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Olson-Brothers-Resin-Shaker-Scoop-for-new-Revell-1-25-Ford-Bronco-and-other-kits/252892555453?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D40130%26meid%3Dd1cf9fe9eadf44f68b655ae1ceb8f564%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D252892563707
  13. Hi Guys I am a brazilian modeler and new in the car modeling universe. I´d like to build the 1979 Ford Bronco as seen in the 240 Robert TV show. I am using the 1/24 Monogram ´80 Ford Bronco 2 ´n 1 model kit but the tires and wheels are not accurate. Could you please tell me where to get the correct set? Many Thanks in advance
  14. This was a fun fantasy build for a build-off challenge on a Facebook group I belong to. Silly build but with some work in it. Filled in the rear windows and flip hinged the rear shell. Hinged the tailgate to allow for the slide-out "playing" field with handmade ice cooler and Weber Grill with hamburgers and hot-dogs. 4- flat screen TVs to watch the game while tailgating. Just a fun silly way-out-of-my-box build.
  15. I was inspired when I got this new kit and started to look for some possible famous first Gen Broncos. I remembered that Mr. Kimble from Green Acres had a '66 Bronco Roadster. So my search went on for reference pics. I saw the other reviews so far and agree with the wheels are too small. I don't mind the tires, the rim size really is a bummer. I also agree with the sides being too flat / straight. I have attached some of my references. Mr. Kimble's Bronco Roadster with street tires. Note the turn signals Note the front fender badges. Note the top of the tailgate.
  16. I finally finished something and found a camera! Thanks, JTalmage (ps I still need to find a box for your hotrod parts o__O) Whilst taking these pictures, the removable top took a leaper off the table and the window fell out, hence the last picture. This was also my first time doing plug wires. I used small electrical wire stripped and rebraided, then painted green.
  17. This puppy was modeled after my ex's bronco. Always loved that hunk of junk!
