Scale I Build

  1. Hi ! Long time I've posted a Cadillac on the forum. Here is the Robert Burns's TMP 1971 Cadillac kit finally done. These kits don't come complete so it takes a long time to fully assemble one, with scratch built parts and donors. I have dressed her up with an accurate 1971 Adriatic Turqouise Metallic. A friend of mine printed the correct hubcaps and seats. I have created the interior door panels and molded-converted a 1971 JoHan Dash. Chassis is from JoHan's Caddy but also required lots of work to fit with the body. Robert's kits are a dream come true for unprecedented models in that scale. Cadillac lovers, they are far from easy to built but don't let them go....
  2. Hi everyone. Here's my new conversion. Restored and made from a damaged Jo-Han's Coupe DeVille kit bought on Ebay earlier this year (see last pictures). The kit was missing a few parts so I decided to turn it into a 4 door sedan version. Color is Olive green over "Sudan Beige", as close as possible. New interior front seats, roof line and pillars, new dual stripes white walls. Hope you'll like it, and thanks for watching.
  3. Hi guys. Hope everyone's doing good. Here's my last build, this is a very rare R&R Resin kit of a '62 Coupe Deville I have since at least a decade. It is converted from the Fleetwood 60S by JoHan. I had poorly painted it with a saturated turquoise blue back then and had never been happy with it. Needed a good restauration. So, I offered the Cadillac a new two tone dress, as close as "Pompeian Red Metallic" with an off-white top. Black and white interior with black carpeting. Painted accent hubcaps and new hand made chromed V crests. Hope you'll like it. Thanks !
  4. Hi Guys ! Here's my second build of 2020. This is a Paul Hettick resin kit of a 4 windows 1959 Sedan de Ville. Paul did an amazing conversion with the body, interior, accurate rear bumper and gorgeous hubcaps. That kit needs the Monogram's Eldorado donor for extra parts, such as front bumper, chassis and hood... I've painted this beauty with a dark colour to enhance the chrome details and I've add larger white walls. A must have in a Cadillac collection. Hope you'll like it
  5. Today I share with you my last build, a Cadillac of course. It's a Page Resin kit, probably converted from the Fleetwood 1962 made by Johan. As it's not a mass produced kit and it is made by hand, it needs a fair amount of preparation to get the final assembly right. Overall the kit's quality is very good, comes complete with chassis, glass and bumpers but no chrome plated parts... so as it is now impossible to find someone or a company trustworthy enough to offer this service, I had to use an old wrapped JoHan donor for the chromes. These "Deville" series have never been made by Johan ( who made only Fleetwoods ) so the roof line as well as the B pillar are totally new and correct for that series, and the horizontal strips above the rear bumper as also new and accurate. Hope you'll like it ! Cheers !
  6. Hi guys ! Sharing with you today this Jo-Han's 1969 Cadillac Deville convertible, my first build of 2019. It's a promo that I have converted into the convertible version, as Jo-Han never proposed this specific model. ( just the Coupe Deville and the Eldorado ). If I recall, I think I got that promo for 3 bucks about 15 years ago because it was totally damaged. Half of the roof was gone, such as A pillars and windshield. The body looked like a cat had chew big parts of it, was full of little dents and most of the original paint was scratched. I didn't know what to do with it at the time but I couldn't let it go, so I kept it and restored it. I have detailed the interior with carpet, wood-ish inside panels, created a soft boot and added front seat's headrests and wider white walls. For the colour, I tried to get as close as its original one, such as Sapphire blue Met. Still a few details to finish yet, such as antenna, scripts and mirrors but overall this is it. Hope you'll like it.
  7. Hi guys ! Sharing today an old built, the Cadillac Coupe De Ville 1976 by Modelhaus. As these kits are ultra rare now I just regret to have built it at a time where my skills weren't as good as they are today. I could restore it completely though. I guess this Cadillac's still presentable and worth a few pics here, don't you think ? ...Ah, If only Revell would stop doing Customs and Lowriders to offer more old "stock" american cars !
