Scale I Build

  1. Been away from modeling for a little bit due to work. But decided to build one for a few upcoming local shows. This will be Box Stock. I'll try and post in progress pics. First model i've done in over a year. Just mocking everything up for now and primering parts.
  2. So this little project was only thought of two weeks ago. I wanted to do something special for my boyfriend for Christmas. He has a '86 F-250 extended cab 4wd that he got when he was 15/16. He just got his truck repainted. My plain for the model is to get it as close as possible to his truck. I know there is some parts missing but I do have then ordered and on there way. Heres where I need help. It's my first time doing a model and I know it won't come out perfect but I'm going to try my best. What are some good glues, tools and tricks to use? I know a lot of people will have different opinions but if you guys could help that would be great.
  3. Would like to take one of the Moebius Ford Pickups and put a stepside bed on it. I know the pre-'67 Fords used the '56 Ford-type stepside bed. Which kit, or is there a kit that has the correct post-'67 stepside bed? Thank You
  4. This was an old built 53 Ford kit I had that needed something done to it. I changed it to a 55 by sticking in a y-block & changed the grill. I built the Manley style working wrecker boom & body from Plastruct & evergreen styrene. I like doing junkers, I know it's not as cool as the pristine models that are done but they're fun to do.
  5. Hello, my name is Daniel mattera, I am trying to build a model of a truck I previously had it was a 1992, Ford F250 XLT, with the standard cab. I was looking at just removing the extra extended cab on a monogram 1990 F250 and going from there. I see others have made that truck but I have no idea what to expect, and don't know if anyone has done the same or has advice regarding this kit or if there is another that matches to correct year I need. Also what about a mild lift (the model looks a bit to low, I see others have lifted that I wonder how they did as well as if the kit comes as a 4x4) (obviously im a beginner with this stuff... im only in high school so anything would be a wonderful bit of advice) Thanks!
