Revell 69 Charger pro modeler kit, build one or two ways, very nice kit if i might say so. As for me i had in mind stock, but this always seem to fail as it goes on. Ok,some facts, primer and paint are Tamiya TS. Distributor is MAD,the supercharger is BNL,i used Alclad on this, the carburators, the air intake is body color (hard to see). Engine is the 426 from the kit (It also comes with an 440 magnum). 4speed manual, stock interior with some foil and attempt at woodgrain paint.flocked the floor and the shelf behind the rear seats. The body is all stock. The floor/chassis is AMT and Revell put together,70/30. Oh yeah,i forgot the mirrior inside the car, also i dont have any braided wire for fuel so i could attempt detail a little more. I belive the washer container should be white, but i took the chance and painted blue on the inside, and its clear. I consider try getting some sort of jig for fuel/brake lines later on,its extremely difficult holding with one hand and fix with the other lol. Wheels are "Customs by Terry" on Ebay. The supercharger belt is from Mike DeLuco "Shucky",yeah i think thats about it. This is my first pro street car so i hope you like it. Also i would like to thank Jeremy Newman "outkast1027" for the rear tires. Here are some pictures.

I love my Chevelles, my Challenger, and my Charger.......but I haven't been able to stop messing with this thing since I finished it. It came out better than expected!

So i started one more kit (dont ask why lol) and some ideas popped in as i went along. I`m pretty sure it`s been done before, but it is a first time for me trying to scratch build things as frames and modify the body. The donor is the Dodge Viper GTS from AMT. Only thing left of the original frame is the mid section. I also modified the firewall to get engine enough backwards so it went clear of steering components. This again gives a lot of room in front of the engine and in real life, nice weight distribution. Well, here are some progress. Comments are welcome.

Greetings from Motown!,,just finished this "Woody". Its kindof what you might call a "GT" package if it were ever to be offered back in the day,,lol. Lots of scratch built stuff,,no after market parts on this,,just leftovers from the junk bxs. Some of the pcs were missing when I got the kit{ swap meet kit} so had to use the thunderbird tire cover in back,,different rear bumper, turn signals on front fenders, scratch built,,And the mtr is some hemi out of a prostock kit,,have no idea which one. Tinted the windshield + wing windows blue Scratch built visors,,roll bar,,seatbelts. I really like the AMT kit supplied " woodgrain" inner panel decals for the sides,,nice feature. They went on with no problems. Its a bit different than the stock version,,but what a fun version it would be to drive!

i have been working on this model for a long time . i have gone through two bodies. countless rear fenders . a couple hoods, and three frames . it's sat in a parts box for a few years . While waiting for parts to show up on another build I decided to bring some of my stalled projects out to see if i can breath new life into them . This is one of them this model is in its rough stages . the plan is to have a 6.1 hemi, viper front and rear suspension air bags and as low as i can go . now for some pics

Thought i`d just post it as finish before i was tempted to throw it in the dumpster. Did so many errors and faults i could write several pages on it,but i`ll cut it short. I forgot to paint mirrors, messed up decals for the interiour, forgot to paint the underside of the hood, wrong color on the radiator beam, forgot to paint the top of the front housing the lights, grill etc. I painted the shaker in the same color as the surrounding of the grill, but the paint was really weird, like it got sand in it. So i stripped it,then painted it satin black, with flat black gasket, but this paint was weird too,it was only flat on spots and i stired the can really good before paint,so it`s in strip right now. And to top it all,i was painting an Chrysler 300C the other day,the Cuda was getting clear on the same day. It was in the same room, but far away from where i painted the Chrysler. Even so,it`s full of paint dust from i was painting the Chrysler, the list go on and on and on The paint is Tamiya. Decals i found on parts on Ebay. Tires are from Revell 69 Charger. Wheels are from Scenes Unlimited. Plug wires are Hobby Design. I do not recomend these, way to stiff. Radiator hose from Scale Production. Heater hose,i dont remember. Plates and quarter decals are from 71 Cuda Street Machine,MPC? Some photos. Thanks for looking.

Nothing fancy just a clean quick build. Love how easy these kits build. I saved the decals for the case its in due to the fact the color was way off from what I intended and I didnt feel like stripping and repainting

Work in progress over here http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=71981&st=0&p=896283 Introducing Mr. Sinister, he's a 32 Ford sedan with twin 426 hemi's. The entire under carrage was scratch built which was first for me. Because this monster is so long and the driver sits so far back I added a laptop which operates cameras mounted to the front of the car for looking left and right for safety. The headlights are in the skulls on the hands and the turn signals are in the eyes of the main skull. The skull on the front is something I modeled with a little program called blender 3d and sent the model to shapeways who then printed it for me. This is my main entry for this years cannonball cbp. I missed out on last years so this year I wanted to do something completly over the top, something that would make George Barris proud. Also my thinking for this years race was to make something so over the top that any cop would just look at it and say to the other "I didn't see that and neither did you." I wont be the fastest or the most practical cross country racer but it will should be one fun ride and in the end that's all I wanted to make. Thanks for looking, and also to everyone who followed the build thank you to you all as well.

Hello everyone, this is a new build I started it's one of my entries for this years Cannonball Run cbp as the title says it's a 32 Ford Sedan Street Rod from Revell. I plan to build it as a custom Hot Rod that will house two 426 Hemi's, chop the top, and do a few other things that I'll keep secret for now. I haven't really decided on a color yet, I'm thinking about a nice candy apple red but it's subject to change. I just started to build the frame, I thought it would be better to build a frame rather than extend the original. So after some planing, burnt fingers and a few choice words this is what I got. This is also my first attempt at a custom frame so we'll see where it goes. That's where it's at right now, I'll start re-building a 67 GTX soon for the same contest, I just want to get this a little further along seeings how this is uncharted water for me. Thanks for looking!

Since i have been waiting for parts for my other projects and got overwhelmed by boredom i started a new kit. It`s the Nash Bridges Cuda from Revell. I`m not sure why but yellow was never a favorite color of mine,it kinda mess up the lines of cars and make chrome "disappear". So i went for a blue metallic, since it`s not meant to look like any factory option or 100% stock i thought no harm would be done except for maby anoying the purist. This is my first time with BMF,and omg what a nightmare and the result there after (more to do) I want to keep this clean and simple, and got steelies with dogdish in the same color as the car. Not sure how to lower it but i`m working on it. Engine will be stock, and i thought i give it a shot on try wire it for the first time, and i hope it`s a little more easy then this BMF stuff. Also it will get white interiour and white hemi decals on rear panels. Hopefully it will look good. Comments are welcome. Here are some crappy pics, only have my phone so.

Just an ordinary AMC Pacer with a roll bar and only 426 HP nothing special. It does have a cowl intake from I think it was either the revell daytona or amt 68 gtx. Color is left over sapphire blue from my shelby blue crew cars. The fitment of the body before i even put the hemi in was frustrating, and i still gotta do the radiator hose. For some reason my mom's camera though that my replica of my truck and future replica dads dart were a better thing to focus on.

Hi all, ,,just getting caught up on a kit from a recent club meet, traded some of my builts for it. For a kit from 1974,,its not too bad.}Not the greatest tooling} It should turn out ok. Well see where it goes from here,,cheers!

Got some new parts from Danny today at Scenes Unlimited and am blow away. The quality and workmanship is top notch. better than plastic. I wanted a mystery motor air cleaner for my 63 Impala for the longest time and now I got it. as good as the original piece. and his Chevy utility wheels are beautiful. Give him a try, you wont be disappointed. http://www.scenesunltd.com/index.html

This is a work in progress started several years ago. The engine of course received the bulk of the detailing. Since Monogram's old Hemi had little detail with only an inaccurate timing cover, I began by scratch buildng the whole front of the engine. I adedd the oil pump and filter, and created a water pump. once satisfied with the look of the basic engine. I added plug wires and fuel lines. The engine compartment on this kit is very sparse and still in need of completion. firewall and water pump was drilled for heater hose, and lines added, as was the was the master brake cylinder vac line. Still needed as some will notice are heater blower motor and batery + cable, along with wiper motor and a few other small bits. On the suspension, as with this old kit there are some details lacking, but I kept it simple with only the addition of rear shocks and drilling out the exhaust tips. One bit of detail I concentrated on with this kit was the suspension markings used on the real counterparts from the factory. A keen Mopar guy will pick out discrepancy in colors used, but this was done using various images of concourse restorations of other Mopars I have seen over the years. Hope you enjoy picking an old guys efforts apart. Will have more projects to post soon.

Here's the AMT 1953 Studebaker Starliner kit that I modified. It received the most votes in the jalopyjournal.com H.A.M.B. online salt flats racer model contest ending on January 14, 2011. The mechanics of the car loosely follows the SanChez '53 Stude racer from the early '60s. The color is a coral orange color that I mixed from Accu-Flex model railroad water-based paint then used their clear gloss and a lot of polishing. The kit's headlight covers, custom front pan and chopped top were used. Most of the trim was removed/filled and a B pillar was added along with door panel scribing on the roof. The engine is the kit's optional 392 Hemi with a front-driven blower and related parts from the ex-Aurora Carl Casper Undertaker dragster kit. Inside, the basics of the Stude kit's roll cage was augmented with additional styrene rod. An Early Years Resin seat and the '53 Stude's steering wheel adorn the kit's tub that got a new styrene floor and had most of the molded-in detail removed. The chassis is from the '53 kit with the floor boards between the frame rails replaced with sheet styrene and new pieces added for engine mounts. I Z'd the front frame rails while the rear has lowering blocks between the springs and the axle tubes. The Halibrand rear end and race tires are Early Years Resin pieces, the headers are from the Revell '69 Landy Dodge Charger (OK, they're from a 426 Hemi, so shoot me) and the exhaust pipes are aluminum tubing. The moon discs are real aluminum pieces from Scale Repro's Plus with three spots of dark grey paint on each one to simulate mounting screws.

Took awhile but I got the 34 Ford Altered Done and added it to my stable of Drag Cars. The base kit is the WWB "Winged Express" which was built up as instructed but then I added a few details to it like the spark plug wires and fuel lines as well as the Throttle linkage at the rear base of the injectors. The headers were drilled out, Most of the chrome peices were stripped and repainted with different shades of metal. The wheels had valve stems added to them and the rear tires are the kit tires but they were sanded to give them a better look also the I rounded up the square edges of the tires. Jimmy Flintstone supplied the 34 Ford Rat "T" body used in this build I picked it up at NNL East last year. After soaking in Westley's Bleach White for 24 hours I sanded off the drip rails, hinges and door handles and door lines were filled and I shot with a coat of Plasti-Kote Primer and the blue is Dupicolor Pre-Mixed shot through my airbrush then the dry transfer decals were put on. I shot 4 coats of clear Lacquear sanding after each coat except after the first coat. After the last coat of Clear I worked my way up to a 12,000 grit sandpaper. Then buffed it out using two cuts of polishing compound then wax. Hope you enjoy the pictures of the "Freedom Runner" 34 Ford Altered Hope you enjoyed my build if you would like to see more picture of it during the build check them out here http://s81.photobucket.com/albums/j206/chuckinredneck/34%20Ford%20Altered/
