Scale I Build

Found 4 results

  1. Started the transformation of my Peterbilt 359 from having a sleeper to eventually getting a dump box and a transfer trailer. Got the sleeper off and starting to get the back of the cab made. Still lots of work to do.
  2. This started life as a Revell Peterbilt 359 snap-kit and became the new Gables Corner VFD's Incident Support Unit 1. The box design is based on Summit Fire Apparatus' air cascade units, similar to Kenton or Columbus's units. Lots of scratchbuilding and a few parts from shapeways.
  3. This is the Revell Peterbilt 359 snap kit, or at least my version of it. A great kit to build, especially for someone that hasn't even had time to sit down at the bench for a couple of years (me). Anyway, there are a few changes from stock including the decals on the doors (from the AMT California Hauler kit). I ditched the Revell supplied wheels and tires, replacing them with ones from Moebius. The headlights were donated to the cause from the AMT TeeVee Dune Buggy. I added BMF, stripped much of the chrome replacing it with Testors Metallic Red to match the body and gave the engine some detailing with different gauge wires. Overall, I am quite happy with how it turned out, hope you fellas like it. Cheers.
  4. here is a project i got from a friend, he cut off the sleeper and cut up the frame. i finished off the cutting and worked it out, made a daycab panel, fixed the frame and am making it all work out and look good. still have a bit of work left to do on it, like the interior, fix the rear frame, some minor weathering, and a couple other details. this is a revell pete 359 "snap" kit. cant rotate one of the pics, but needs a small bit of touch up in the paint. color is mystic emerald, by testors, in one coat laquer.
