    • Board Upgrade   04/23/2017

Unfortunately, we were unable to upgrade the board software due to some technical difficulties. We will try again once we get the problems worked out.

You have some superb builds that are very clean and well detailed. Quite an inspiration to see some of the builds focusing on simplicity like that recent 68 Charger.

Starting my build on this Revell 1:25 CR.7 "Corvette" . Thank you member "JAY" for the review & great pics he had put up here! Big reason I bought this kit tonight.. I like to take "photos/video+time lapse"  as I'm constructing my builds & post them. I hope that's helpful.

    DroneOutlaw

attached is one of my prebuild rituals. Taking a Pic of the kit on my bench spread out B4 I bust it out of the plastic & give it a bath... {BUT 1st it seems I must do a bit more reading on how to make the photo file size fit? Maybe an app like "photobucket" might help} Any suggestions for the new guy.... lol

  7. NYLIBUD

Please read below.I just want to check out some cool models on here with no issues. And that is itSo thanks

  8. NYLIBUD

I hope this gets listed on my profile page.Im not the best with my old pic,/phone.I joined the website in 2014,but shortly after I did,my mother passed away. So making models wasn't the first thing on my mind.Until recently,I decided to get back into it...Which is what I'm trying to do...Now,,to the person on here, who he knows who he is,who is trying to bother me.Jyst do me a favor and leave me alone.I don't understand your intentions. So please leave  me alone.I come on here looking at car, truck,or motorcycles models, built by great builders all over the country..I have no idea what ur talking about,.And my name is Ron,not Ron Smith,I felt like I was checking into a motel.I don't have to be truth full of my name..This is not a private website...Anyway,I'm from LI NY,and I really like building these cars, and looking at other peoples builds.Again, that's all I want to do...Not be bothered.amd that's it..

    Thank u very much.

Greetings fellow modelers, My name is Bud Thon. I was very

active in northern California modeling circles, entering shows

and attending NNL meets. My good friend Mike Quarteman and

I published a racing model mag called Motor Racing Replicas.

I have since moved back to Washington Ill. where I grew up

but have not found any activity in the Peoria area so if any of you

are from this part of the country let's get in touch or I might have

to go back to airplane modeling.

My modeling experience dates way back to the days of stick

and paper model airplanes. Then gas powered planes, then at driving     age to cars.  my first model was a balsa Jaguar manufactured by     XXXXXXXX. The box is shown as  the first picture on my post.

Then came plastic, wow! Accurate models of real cars. So I probably

built more than 20 before taking a long break to pursue a career

    in art and design.

One day I found an old Hubley Packard without plans at a sidewalk

sale in San Francisco and bought it. It was forgotten for a few years

until one day I had some extra time and put it together, fun. Then

I read an article in a car magazine about how great the kits from

Japan were, so a trip to the Hobby shop and that was it. I started

    building feverishly. 1/24, 1/25, 1/43 Ferraris, 1/12 Tamiyas, a

Pocher, 1/16 Entexes, and even a few 1/20s. Then I discovered

the Franklin and Danbury Mints so I bought them if I couldn't find

a kit of a car I liked. Today my collection contains over

650 pieces after eliminating all scales except 1/24 or 1/25. So my

first post will  also have pics of the collection. I enjoy the site

Immensely and hope to contribute regularly.

Nice, I really don't think ANYONE, that are not from that era, when cars were cars, knows what a "Street Sleeper" really is.

20 minutes of baked bean farts later, and it still reeks of hippies in here. I did all I could. Now it's time to head home...

To hold the T.V. to my lips
the air so packed with cash
carry it up a flight of stairs
and drop in a vacant lot .

I bought this model on ebay from USA. The wheels were too small, the decals were dust and the wheelopenings where wrong, but it is a SUPERBIRD. It also stand much too tall in the front.

I grinded away the exhaust, fixed the wheelopenings, added details to the suspension, made a quickfilleropening and detailed the engineroom and interior. Ihavn´t put on the sponsordecals yet because I want that "right out of the store"-look.

I built the daytona back in 1971 out of an MPC box. That one was for real and I built i right out of the box. Now I become happy every time I look at those two "winged Wonders".
