Scale I Build

  1. I picked up this diecats Hemi Dart a month ago or so. These are selling on EBay for $200+! When one showed up damaged for less than half that, I jumped on it! It has broken attachment points for the base on the underside (which doesn’t bother me) and the hood trim is missing. It’s been sitting on my deathbed since I got it. I figured I would fabricate the missing trim. Here is a little photo selection from the process.
  2. This is a video of the recently put out GreenLight 1/18 scale Dodge Monaco, its a real beauty. I already taken it apart and detailed the interior a little bit, I also bought the 1/18 scale 1975 Plymouth Fury, these are great vehicles!! Also they are going to be releasing the 1977 Fury as well, and it will be in an Army Military Police version for the A team Line also they will have a 1977 Fury New York New Jersey Port Authority car too.
  3. This is the new 1/18 scale 41 Willys by Acme in kit form. It is a high detailed model so it has lots of parts, although some are pre-assembled. The diecast frame has the rear axle assembly installed and the front springs. The front axle is assembled including wheels and tires. Both engines are partially assembled as well. Options choices: Blown Hemi Engine or Small block Chevy Tube front axle or dropped beam front axle. (requires changing the riveted spindles) 41 Willys rear bumper or chrome push bar Five spoke rear mags or slotted mags Two, three or four point roll bar Once I get my 32 Chevy finished Ill get started and go into more detail. If you have any question before that fell free to ask. You can also click on the photo to see more photos.
  4. I have been packing for a few months now, hoping to move in November. The good part is my new model shop will be in full time air conditioned space. So .. I'm going to post a model from the past. This is a 1/18 Johnny Lightning diecast done by Ertl several years ago. It has opening hood and rear gate but not the doors. Door handles are molded on but does have some nice detail over-all. If you're going to get serious about cutting up diecast, you need this RotoZip. Stay tuned! AzTom
  5. This is my next project now that I'm finally getting my shop back together. 1/18 scale diecast 41 Willys. This is going to be a simple repaint and some small detailing.
  6. Motorcity Classics has announced it will be running some of their 1/18 line again after several years of producing nothing. Here is a list of the cars coming, the Good News! That I don't understand. Change the colors and have a chance to sell one to a collector that may already have one of the lod ones, like me. I have everyone one of these.
