  1. Hi all, so i am just wondering about people's experiences with AMT truck kits. Basically, i have gone back to AMT's 1/25 wrecker kit having started it a couple of years ago, i got to a stage with it where i basically lost interest due to making a painting error on rear axles so i put it away and got on with other projects. Anyway, i have been cracking on with it for the last few months but i am wondering, is it just me, or are AMT instruction sheets piss-poor? They were definitely NOT created by an engineer, and absolutely nothing like Tamiya. I had a few similar issues with fabricating the chassis on Orange Blossom, although that did in the end come out spectacularly (i'll have to upload some pics of kits soon). With regards to the wrecker truck, i have been having one issue after another with putting the wheels together, which i assume will be the same for all AMT truck kits, unless AMT have made the construction process as difficult as hell by design. Any thoughts on this?

    chrome silver

Hello there, Basically, i am through with using Humbrol's chrome silver enamel, it just doesn't look like chrome. I am currently doing a truck and wondered what the best chrome finish product was on the market. Thanx in advance
  3. Greetings all, New member here i just joined and thought i'd type a few bits about me. I'm 42 from the UK, been modelling since i was probably 13, on and off, had a couple of long periods where i haven't done any models. But my recent projects include AMT's Superboss truck which i completely hand painted as the original decal sheet was no good to use, Monogram's Vanbulance, i did a couple of Johan drag car restorations which i actually prefer doing, currently i am restoring a 1/16 Gene Snow funny car, bloody tyres are completely perished though! Anyway, i just wondered what people thought about these re-release kits that some companies seem to be doing i've noticed, does this lower the price of that particular model regardless if it is an original release or not? Happy New Year by the way
  4. Alright there, just a bit of fun i thought, on a scale of 1-10 (10 being rarest), what would you score each of these AMT kits as?
  5. Hi again, I think i am enjoying this! This time i am wondering on the rarity of these particular kits, scale of 1-10 again (10 being highest), what do you guys think?
