I've been wanting for a long time to create this diorama, as I love this scene from jaws 2 when I was a kid. Its so over the top. So I bought an old MRC kit for the bell helicopter HTL-4 (1:35), I think its made by Academy now. I found the real helicopter from the movie (Hughes 269B) but it was too expensive and a bit out of scale. the MRC instructions are really weird and difficult to follow, its easy to forget pieces or skip some steps. I didnt use all the detail form the engine (too fragile) but add some wires in the cockpit. I found a shark figure and a vietnam helicopter pilot (better figure for the dio than the one in the kit). First time i use the tin foil method...work very well.

My second diorama in the make. I will give the techniques I used once I put everything together. I welcome criticism, opinions and tips. There will be a bridge over the creek and I’m yet to pick what vehicle to place over it. Will it be a vintage, classy vehicle or a truck? Thanks everyone and forgive the poor quality lighting.

This was inspired by a t-shirt, and Arizona's Stupid Driver law that is supposed to deter idiots from crossing flooded washes, by forcing them to pay for recovery costs. The roof is from my Honey, We Have A Problem diorama, the Tamiya - Isuzu Vehicross. The babe is a Preiser figure, with epoxy putty clothing, had to use a Victoria Secret catalog for reference. I vacuum-formed the sign posts and drilled lots of holes; sign is a photograph that was improved with PhotoShop and printed on thick paper (along with title plaque), reflectors are Farmers Insurance bumper stickers, attached with Grant Line bolts. First time I have used Woodland Scenics, Water Effects, which is like a thick Tacky Glue, added a little acrylic paint. Real rocks, dirt, wood and grass, epoxy putty Prickly Pear and Barrel Cactus, paper Agave Cactus, Celluclay ground. There is a Tarantula waiting for her. I cut the base in a diamond to mimic the sign from the best point-of-view. So I made two dioramas with one model. Who would rescue her?
