Tom Geiger
Great project Richard! And fun to be along for the ride with all the attempts and changes to the project. It shows that even the great modelers don't get it right the first time. It's not about getting things right every time, it's about not quitting until you get it right! While a lot of modelers would have just settled for the black and green scheme, you kept at it until it looked right to your eyes and vision. And that's what we call art! Funny thing though, I had jumped ahead to page 8, and in my first glance, your glossy patina looked like burled mahogany!
Tom Geiger
Oh, and I love your pond too! Very relaxing to watch the water flow! I have a natural brook that runs through my yard.
misterNNL
Just for fun please post some lower angle photos.Everything you have posted of the finished truck looks like it was taken from a second story window. The final color choice of really killer and goes very well with the color of your wooden flooring. crazyrichard
thnx guys !! and tom yes somebody on a dutch forum also said it looked like wood haha ...and yes changing stuff , not having a pre set plan is always fun just see where the build takes you and curious on you natural brook sounds awsome !! i did add some wipers , front window , a pushbar , license plate , made round centers on the rear rims things like the headlight lenses needed a mild wash in the seems .. it was just too white and crisp for all the brown tones Edited June 7, 2015 by crazyrichard
Tom Geiger
Hi Richard, my brook. It goes across the center of my yard. We have a bridge to access the back of the property. Edited June 7, 2015 by Tom Geiger

crazyrichard
i just felt the front rims needed something , since i have a ford logo on the door and imo this has a kind of ford feel to it .. i put ford hub caps on the front wheels , washed with black ... the rear wheels got more round center like a cap on the hub ... now the fun part is that its a opel and in europe ford and opel are competitors hahaha ...
