wayne swayze
Looks very familiar...thought it was mine! Looks real cool with the wheels from the "Rat Roaster" . I will be watching this build for sure! (BTW... I like the tailgate leaned forward at the top!)

James2
Thank you, it's a frame from any one of the Revell 32's. I'll post some pics of it as I go along. The bed is shortened, obviously! the top chopped and slightly raked. Wheels from the Rat Roadster. (Which is't a Rat at all) I also ct down the grill to match the channel closer. More to follow... wayne swayze
Hey James. Seeing this really got me pumped! Thanks for having a look at mine. That was such a great selection for wheels and tires! Looking forward to see where you take this...and trust me, I won't copy yours, although I'm loving it!

bobthehobbyguy
Great start. What engine are you using?
James2
I have this M/T engine from another model I haven't finished and thought it would work well. And I think I can even work out a color scheme to suit.

Cool looking truck. The slanted tailgate gives it a going fast sitting still type of look. Looking forward to more progress. One thing about the wheels and tires. The name of the kit and the car is Rat Roaster not roadster. The rat in the name of the car is not in reference to rat rod it is in reference to "rat motor" as in big block Chevy. Roaster referring to roasting the competition even if they bring a big block Chevy since the rat roaster is powered by a blown small block Chevy (aka a "mouse" motor). wayne swayze
Looks good James. Any idea of colour? Will you be using the stock door handles?
James2
Thanks Wayne, I will be using the stock handles but I may paint them the body color. That color will be candy purple I think! Edited May 23, 2015 by James2
