Monty
Some awesome gold builds in this thread. I wonder how many others were surprised by the range of shades that come under the heading of "gold". This thread has shown me that there are a number of options, but I hope it also helps others looking for just the right shade of gold to complete a build. My thanks again to all who took the time to post pics of their gold builds. Very nice stuff! Edited June 11, 2015 by Monty

jbwelda
what gets me is the flip flop in color and look in the same car from a different angle or lighting. this Mercury really surprises me, I had to look close to see if it was the same car or not. that IS the same car, right? beautiful build and beautiful paint by the way! jb
philo426
Gold can be funny that way.Color can shift due to source of light(natural vs florescent vs incandescent) and angle of view.

Drake69
I know you don't care for Inca Gold, but if done the way I did it then it can look more natural. I sprayed Inca Gold on Tamiya Flat Black base and my El Camino came out this way... I think it gives the gold a chance to dim down a bit in brightness and not so brilliant like when it comes out of the can. My 2 cents.
