Jmaracing
Hey guys!! Does anyone have a good method to get tire marks off of model car windshields? I have a few kits I wana build but the tires were laying on the windshield and left marks. Any help would be awesome thanks....... JOE. Foxer
My guess would be you have to sand the marks away with progressively fined sandpaper and then polish. It will all depend how deep the marks are.

I would start with a solvent that would normally not damage clear plastic - mineral spirits, I would think. Depending on what the tires were made of - if rubber, it should dissolve it, and just a bit of polishing should bring the piece up to snuff. If vinyl, I don't know...
