1970 Dodge Challenger R/T

Now that the Mercedes is finished I can devote more time to finishing the Challenger I started back in November. At this point the interior and chassis is already finished, I'm currently working on the body to fix any problems and get it painted. This is a box-stock build, the color's are inspired by the 2013 Kia Provo Concept Car. Enjoy!

Hi Cory, thanks! All I did for the grill was paint it matte black, and I used a Silver Paint Marker to paint the Chrome around the grill. Hope that helps!

  • 4 months later...

Finally an update on my Challenger. I spent the weekend wet-sanding the primer, and during the week I sprayed the Body in Zero Paint's Titanium Silver. The roof and shaker hood scoop are done also in Zero Paints Orange. Hopefully I can clear coat everything this weekend and finally assemble the model before the Christmas holidays. Enjoy!

NICE work on that Chally... the 440 6 pack is GREAT too! (Seen a 426 Hemi in one of the pics) whats THAT going in?

Body color looks AWESOME!

Thanks, the Hemi is going in a Charger, you can find my build in On the Work Bench, although its probably pages back, I haven't spent any time on it in a while.

On your Charger build, I seen that you re-chromed the whole lot, question is that grille man that looks KILLER, besides the Alclad chrome what else (if anything) did you do to it to get it to look like that!? That has to be thee best '69 Charger grille for a model I've seen yet!!!!!

I didn't do anything special, its just the regular Alclad over gloss black. I didn't clear coat my chrome parts, I find they look quite good with just the Aclad. Glad you like it!
