Harry P.
Chris Squire, bassist and founding member of the band YES, has died of leukemia at 67. His bass was a big part of the YES sound...

Foxer
Yes was on my college turntable I don't remember how many times in the early '70 ... actually, I don't remember much at all from back then Edited June 29, 2015 by Foxer
Mike_G
I saw Yes at the LA forum in 1971 or '72 during their Fragile tour- best concert I've ever been to Geddy Lee said he wanted to be Chris Squire when he grew up RIP
Roadrunner
Yep, darn shame, 67 is just too young. Like many here, Fragile and Close to the Edge, played on my 8 track machine in the car,... a lot.
afx
From an under appreciated album (Yessongs) check out Chris' solo beginning 5:00 minutes in.
afx
More of Squire's impressive bass playing from another under appreciated Yes album (Drama). Believe it or not this was actually the first Yes album I ever owned. Edited June 30, 2015 by afx
Dave Van
THANKS AFX.........sometimes you forget how utterly FANTASTIC the entire YES catalog is........I include Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe too..... I have had a terrible 31/2 weeks with hospitals, deaths and more hospitals. If I could I'd lock myself in a room with all my YES and stay for a week. I'd feel better..... Jon Anderson has not been well for a while....hope he's better...
