If money were no object, what car would you buy?

Recommended Posts

My late mothers first car was a Black 55 Ford Mainline. I was looking at an add a few years ago , sure wish I would have picked that car up.

The other car I would like to get would it is not for sale is a Auburn Boattail Speedster that my late friend worked on. This car ran at the dry lakes and the current owner has a few pictures of it.

My Friend fixed the body that was sectioned and put it back to stock.

The problem with great vintage cars is that there's too much responsibility ... and who needs that if you're stinking rich?

Wife,Children,Mortgage,Food on the table are responsibilities that need no explanation. Owning a car that you love is priceless.

Get a top-line custom shop to build me a replica Cadillac Sixteen..

For a more down-to-earth, production vehicle, I'd take a Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

and maybe one of these for a practical daily driver, a Merc S63 AMG coupe..

I can gladly say I already own the car I'd buy if money were no object. Fortunately, it was pretty cheap for what it is. I do plan to change a few things in the near future though, a 4 inch cowl hood, early fiberglass front end, and spindle mount Weld Alumastar wheels to name a few. I'm sure its strange that somebody would want a vega of all things, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Jason, I'm the same way with my Astro. I know every inch of it and wouldn't trade it for anything, even the Playboy mansion.

With the registration number KAR120C then right?

My list goes like this:

1957 Chevrolet Nomad, my first love.

1966 Dodge D100

1960 Tatra 603:

A Jensen FF, a car with 4 wheel drive that does not look like it has it.

A Peugeot 504 Break, with a Diesel engine and if possible, a column shift

I would also like to have my two Mercedes Benz S123s restored and this one should get a new color (I hate white cars)

And this one would keep it's color because I really like it:

An my 69 VW bug would look like new again:

And I would fullfill my plan for my 65 Mercedes Benz 190 and make it a "what-if" Jaguar mkII killer with a 3,5L V8 and luxurious interior.

And if money really was no object I would probably buy several other cars aswell, and a huge building to keep them in and also a very nice house for my family.

Well if they were "used" Ferraris & heading to a dealer or auction, why not??

So funny you should say that! My wife is convalescing from surgery and my car was at a local garage so I decided to walk there to retrieve my car... um, didn't realize it was four miles, but yea I did it! On my way I passed the local Mini Dealer.. many cars with 5000-15000 miles sitting there as used cars... a few thousand off the price of a new one. Makes ya wonder!

How about what would you get (money's still no object) but that you'd have to be able to afford to maintain and insure?

Uh... we're working under the assumption that money is no object. If money is no object, maintenance and insurance shouldn't be a problem.
