Revell C7 Corvette Snap kit

2 years after we first saw the C7 Corvette we finally get our first kit of one. This kit comes in the new smaller boxes we saw the 15 Mustang snap kit  come in, but this kit is not as basic as that one. it comes with a multi piece interior. as well as nicely detailed headlights and taillights. there is no chrome in the kit. Revell nailed the "satin" finish wheels that the new Corvette has. The chassis is one piece. but is nicely detailed that some basic painting should make it look great.

That's because it's an actual SnapTite (aka Wheels of Fire) kit, not a Build & Play.

I just picked this and the 2017 Raptor up today. The Corvette is the traditional Revell Snap-Tite; well detailed and simple to put together. There's a few minor parting seams on the body, but other than that, nothing to complain about. There is no paint on the model - you'll have to do any detail painting needed.

The Raptor is labeled as a Snap-Tite, but looks more like the Build and Play Series. A very glossy finish with the wheel wells and B pillar painted black, and "Raptor" printed on the sides. The interior has a separate dash and steering wheel; the rest is one piece including the bed. The windows are painted black in the appropriate places, and the wheels are black. The headlights are painted silver like the Mustang.

I'm very pleased with both, and am looking forward to building them.

Bored at work today, did a quick snap together of this kit. It's not bad. I like the silver for the wheels, but it doesn't work as we'll for the headlights. Wish they were chrome. Can't wait for the more detailed kits to show up, I know they're doing the pre-paint hope they do a full-detail normal kit as well. Body is matte, not textured, but just dull. Doesn't have that typical snap kit shine.

Well at least the yellow base should work for nice base color for a pearl yellow top coat and some clear yellow for a duplicate of the new Corvette tint yellow color. Shoot, might even get away with a little clear pearl, then clear yellow to be really nice and different at the same time.
