'55 F-100 Restoration

Recommended Posts

My younger brother originally built this Monogram F-100 back around 1980. Since then it had been in storage, during which time it lost a few parts so I decided it was ripe for restoration.

The paint was stripped from the body, which was then sanded down and repainted. The bed was painted a sandy colour, given a coat of clear orange and trimmed with BMF.

I was pleased with how it turned out. Let's hope it lasts another 35 years.

Nice!
When I grew up, my father had a black 56 F100 for a while, that he was restoring but sold it before he finished it, so this one brings back some memories, like when I was scared for life that i should drop my shoes through the rust hole in the floorboard, lol.
