Recommended Posts

like the color, what is it?

Not painted yet... Blue plastic from the RIDES edition kit

Cool project, I got a similar idea myself as I want to replicate the 69 in the movie SuperVixens.

Cool that's actually a K10 believe it or not via its 4 wheel drive not a C 2 wheel drive...

Shortening the bed & keeping the trim, you're a brave and skilled man Sean. Should look sweet when it's done. I'm watching.

Brave?...  I don't know about that but I'm just cutting all this with the back side of an Z series xacto blade is all....

Yes, it is a K10 and it is also a 69 and not a 72. I got some plans on making 4x4 using a frame from the Revell 64/65 kits and as I have now found out one can buy 4x4 axles in resin from Calnaga Castings http://www.calnaga.com/ but before that I was planning on using the suspension and axles from the AMT 72 Blazer.

What kit is this body from?? I want one of these to shorten it and make a shortbed as well. Love those models of C10s

Here is a picture of the boxart to one of the many reissues of the kit:

Here is one one Ebay at the moment:

Update: Got the corners on the bed cut and clearenced for the bumper may still need a bit more work to make it more correct

Got the taillights mod'd out of the piece that i cut off the back and getting ready to graft them into the bed sides

still need to do some body work on the trim to fix it
