4 door Corvette

Aftermarket conversion, only 5 were built, plus one prototype.

I read somewhere that, of the six cars, two were sold to the same guy.  Not much of a market there, apparently, since nobody ever tried such a thing again.

That said, I've got one of the Monogram kits on the pile...thinking it would look better with a Nomad-style rear roof section in place of the stock rear glass...

I don't know, looks like Porsche thinks somebody will buy a 4 door sportscar.

I've never seen that Corvette kit, but now I want one.

I don't know if I would call that Porsche a "sportscar" in the traditional sense. It's more of a "sports sedan".

However, GM did look into possibly making the Corvette a 4 seater in '63, to better compete with the Thunderbird. The idea was dropped, though.

Joe is right - I've picked up a three over the years.  One was BADLY warped, one I made a mess of, and one's lingering on the workbench now.   The wheels - very nice.  The rest - well... it's okay.  Worth taking a whack at, but I'd hesitate to drop $50 on one for sure.

A difference between 4 door and four seater, like the big long door. would be funny to see the driver profile in the middle of the glass
