wayne swayze
A drawing of a "future" deuce by Charlie Smith in 1987. I started the model around '89 or '90, then stalled.
Phildaupho
Wayne - You made a great start. I think you should get back at it as it is a very cool concept.Maybe the future is now!!??
John Clutch
Nice start. Are those early 80s Malibu tail lights?
Ace-Garageguy
This one really deserves to be finished. Cool.
wayne swayze
Thanks guys. John, the taillights and panel are from the Dobberton Pontiac. The tops of the rear fenders and trunk lid are from an '87 Thunderbird. The rolled pan is from the corner of a trailer that was put in the pile of usable styrene. Originally, this was the car that was meant to have my scratchbuilt Offy engine. We'll see what I decide for power later.
misterNNL
What a neat concept. You picked a great project and one that is certainly deserves to be finished. Thanks for excavating it and sharing with us!
Snake45
Very nice, and don't feel like you have to replicate the drawings. I get the impression that you have ideas of your own that are at least as good.BTW, by coincidence I recently found and re-read that very issue of Hot Rod. They were right on the money in some of their predictions, others were absolutely hilarious to read almost 30 years later!
slusher
Awesome model you should finish..

bobthehobbyguy
Great start. You definitely need to finish this. How about the dual overhead cam corvette engine from the amt wagon rod kit.
fractalign
Way to go ! I still have that issue, what is the body from ?
wayne swayze
Thanks again guys. The body is the 1/24 scale Monogram kit Robert. The wheels and tires are from Monogram ZR1 Corvette. I planned on drilling out the centres, and use '32 Ford caps.
