Sport Suburban
Very nice. I have been enjoying your build and I even bought the kit from Historic Racing Miniatures. My kit does not have those wire wheels in the front but it does have a note that decals will be available from Vintage Racing Miniatures (v-r-m.com). Might check with them on when they might be available and what car they include.
afx
Thanks Jesse and Raoul. Yea I have heard that VRM is planning on a decal sheet but haven't been able to get any further details.

Mark IV
Very nice! FYI the trunk pan is the off-white/cream fiberglass like the footboxes are.
afx
Very nice! FYI the trunk pan is the off-white/cream fiberglass like the footboxes are. Thanks Rick. Yea the spare tire recess is fiberglass. I didn't super detail the underside of the chassis so I just painted it aluminum. I have also seen the underside painted black before. sopis
Gauges with lenses. hi there...this looks great...just wondering.. how did you do the lenses and the leather-like surface? Thanks!!
250 Testa Rossa
Went and saw the real car today, and the owner said that the original name of the car was in fact "Hell's Bells" when it ran originally in 1964. The Cobra did not earn the nickname "El Cid" until it was repainted in black.
afx
hi there...this looks great...just wondering.. how did you do the lenses and the leather-like surface? Thanks!! I used Future Floor Finish for the lenses. Place a large drop inside the gauge and let it dry. The Future shrinks a lot so it takes a few applications to get the desired depth. The kit part has the textured finish molded in, I just painted the dash semi-gloss black.
