StevenGuthmiller
Light and dark rose. Nice pick. Charlie Larkin The colors most closely resembling these from the '59 Dodge line up would have been "Ruby" & Rose Quartz". Not sure if they would have been offered as a standard 2-tone, but back in those days everything was on the table! I did mine in similar colors. "Rose Quartz" & "Coral". mangodart
I don't think he was trying to replicate a "used" look on the chrome. If you actually read his post, he says that he built this model many years ago and the chrome is a little worse for wear... not an intentional look. Yes it's exactly this !!! Steve I've done this two tone after seeing it on an original ad from 59 ( it was a convertible )

There were some pretty unusual combos back then. The Rose Quartz color seems to have been paired with almost everything in '59. MGL
Very nice, I like the way the chrome has aged. Where did the intake and air cleaners come from?

Danno
Always thought the '59 Dodge was dramatic, but good looking. Good job!
Nytrozilla
Thanks for the memories!! My first car was a 59 Coronet I bought in 69 for $200.00. Green and white with chrome moons. Ahhhhh. And the push button automatic and swing out bench seats.I would risk everything Danno has to get that dramatic beauty back in my garage.
