1tim1
Just started this kit, I'll do my best to keep this thread updated with progress pictures. I plan to make a few changes as I build, I won't spoil it just now except that it will be painted toreador red. So far I have the back panel of the cab glued on and applied first round of putty followed by sanding.
mustang1989
The back of the cab is molded separately? Never seen that one before. Looks like a good build forming up here.

Yeah, its a bummer the back panel is separate from the cab. I'm not that good at body work but I guess I need the practice.
mustang1989
Looks like you did a good job with the body work from here. Hang in there with it Tim. I see a great build coming from the effort.

1tim1
Got the body painted and cleared, painted the frame and interior semi gloss black. Still have to wet sand the body and maybe add another coat of clear. I was wanting to change a few things to make it look better but I would rather use the parts and stuff I have on something else. I was wanting to give it a slight lift and wire the engine but the huge hole between the firewall and interior pan would probably look a little goofy. It's a decent kit, re-pop of an older monogram kit. So it will be box stock since I need to practice painting, hoping to get better and better... slusher
Great color choice and paint. Revell Hotrod Chevy stepside pickup in black had the back of the cab as a separate piece also. Real nice work so far..
Ron Hamilton
Lookin' good. I bought one of the original issues of that kit when it first came out, and never built it. I was going through my stuff last week and saw it. Looking at yours may make me put it on the "to do" list.

Only thing about this kit that bothers me is there's a gap between the firewall and interior tub that lets the floor be visible from under the hood. looks pretty good so far! Thanks!
