1965 Ford Galaxie post-apocalypse

Recommended Posts

I finished this Galaxie about two and a half years ago. This was my first attempt at post apocalypse vehicle. My first attempt at weathering too. I watched all the videos and all the techniques I could find on Youtube. What would we do without internet???

I think that I repainted the car body four times. Never happy with the weathering job. In the end I was very happy with it.

The fuel storage. I made the 55 gallon drum out of a container that held diabetic blood strips.

Really cool, I especially like the armor plating on the doors.

I've never been a fan of this style of build, until I saw this one. It's fantastic- I mean you started with a Galaxie. Who does that?? So good that I'm now forced to build something in this genre. Gee thanks, there goes the winter.

:)
