Great job! Did you practice on a golf tee (about the same size)?

Thanks. I used a metal washer over the end and rotated it slightly so that the washer cut a fine line in the chrome. That gave me the line to paint on.

Thanks guys. Dale apparently all 1957 Eldorado Broughams came with the silver roof no matter what body colour you ordered.

The top was actually not painted, it was stainless steel!

They had to somehow justify the $13,000.00 price tag!

That was a lot of money in '57.

The most expensive luxury car in the world at the time.

$4,000.00 more than a Rolls Royce!

Although, Cadillac claimed that each Eldorado Brougham cost $10,000.00 to build.

Only 400 Eldorado Broughams were produced in '57.

Love seeing when someone does one of those old multi-piece bod kits proud. Looks great! Revell really did do some pretty nice kits back in the day. Once again, nice job!

Wow, surprising how good that kit will look when it's done properly! Excellent job creating a good looking Caddy. Paint job looks flawless, which is great since gloss black is by far the hardest color to get right. Sharp BMF work finishes this off.

Now I gotta get me one of these kits...^_^

That looks beautiful!  Multi piece bodys always freaked me out, so I stayed away from them. Nice piece of modelling!

Awesome job on a really old kit!

Are you going to paint the rubber "bullets" on the front bumper?

"Bullets"??

To me, they've always looked more like ... uh, you know. Lets just say you could paint them pink or brown.

They were usually referred to as "Dagmars", named after this lovely young lady.

I think we can all see the likeness! :D

Thanks guys! I too wasn't sure how this multi-piece kit would turnout. Was feeling a little skeptical about starting it!

For all its issues, this kit, built well, cleans up nicely.

I'm thinking of doing mine in dark blue for something a little different- the black gets a bit over-played.

Very nice job on this, Randy.

Thanks everyone. Charlie, make sure you paint the roof silver since all '57 Eldo Broughams came with a stainless steel roof.

Beautiful!!!  First one I've ever seen built!.....probably because it's not the easiest to build in the first place!  One wonders how

well kids did with it back in '57?
