Harry P.
Must be a brand new release (or re-release with new box art?)... I've never seen it before.

chadrob30
Yea, not much in that box art is '34.
Harry P.
It says it includes PE parts... so that's new...
Richard Bartrop
Some of the parts look like they might be usable for something.
Harry P.
If that grille insert is one of the PE parts, that alone is pretty cool.
Daddyfink
A terrible kit for a terrible trend Formerly known as this...
horsepower
Yes, it's a '34 Ford Roadster,,, a Roadster pickup that is, a lot of older stuff with new box art and directions in the box on how to modify the kit to look like the box art. Think of the DTR Jalopy kits of the AMT '32 Ford kits.
chadrob30
Ah ok. Just a rehash, trying to capitalize on the rat rod thing. Got it. Nothing to see here. Move along.
Frank
Lindberg call it a 34, but is actually a 32.
Art Anderson
Lindberg call it a 34, but is actually a 32.As for '32-'34 Ford roadster pickups, there is almost NO difference in the real 1:1 cabs. The '33-'34 Ford truck cabs were a continuation of the '32 unit, the only noticeable difference being that the '32 Closed Cab has an extra, wider raised rib around the back of its cab, which Ford added, due to sheet metal fatigue from having the back of the seat bolted to the sheet metal cab back. That extra raised rib would not show on the roadster pickup body.Art
Richard Bartrop
If it's based on the pickup, then yes, 34 Fords do look like that, more or less
Brett Barrow
They've been out a week or two. I haven't opened one up for fear of melting my face off Ark of the Covenant style. It is an ancient Lindberg kit it's based on. It is made in the USA so it's git that going for it...

chadrob30
Yes I believe so. http://oldmodelkits.com/jpegs/AMT 2134-150 34FordPup.JPG Edited October 8, 2015 by chadrob30
pack rat
Didn't the pickup originally start out as an AMT kit, or am I thinking of something else?Yes, you're thinking of something else. This is NOT the old AMT Trophy Series kit that Lindberg found and reboxed in the '90's
Brett Barrow
The Roadster pickup is what we're talking about here. I'm 99% sure it's a Lindberg original from the stone ages, I don't think it's a Pyro or anything they picked up along the way. I think it just had a name originally it wasn't until 90's/2000's reissues (pictured above) it was labeled as a 34. The AMT closed cab 34 pickup is a classic. This is... not. Ace-Garageguy
Yes, it's the old oddly proportioned mashup of many elements, not one of which is really '34 Ford. It IS, however, a good place to start to build something cool. Bring saws.
Atmobil
Maybe the PE sheet could be used on other 32 Ford builds?
