Hi guys,

I was just looking at how many new Model A roadsters have been in the Under Glass section lately and thought I should get my latest effort on here and also remind any who haven't seen this thread before to get their 29 roadster builds on here as well!

Cheers

Alan

I've seen some just pure "Wow!" builds on there. Since it appears AMT can play as well, here are a few of mine, along with a survivor.

I started this one back in 1994-95 and really need to get back on it some day. It's a somewhat replica of the late Dave Southwick's Dutch Eshelman built 29 Highboy featured in a 1990 R&C.

I'm sure you've seen this one. It's also in the need to get back on it queue. it was also started around the same time priod as the highboy, but went through some heavy changes.

Just finished this AMT-based channeled roadster. It's a tribute to David di Falco's Preservation-style '30 Ford Channeled Roadster featured in this 2016 Jalopy Journal post: A Fly in Amber: The di Falco Roadster. AMT body channeled over Revell Deuce rails with Revell '40 Ford Street Rod Flathead, Revell '40 Ford and Modelhaus 120  big 'n' little whtewalls.

Here is my effort with the Revell '29 Ford roadster.  The paint is Createx Pearl Orange.  I had the original release and the Special Edition release (complete with warped windshield frame) and ended up mixing and matching parts from both kits to come up with this fuel injected channeled roadster.  The stance is much higher than I like for a channeled roadster but didn't have the confidence in my building skills to attempt to lower it.  In the end I had fun building this one and isn't that what this hobby is all about? Thanks for looking.1880836849_29FordRoadster-2348.jpg.48c2e4af815a71fcdc555b3afe2bf909.jpg

Talk about money shots, WOW!!!, now that's some model building. I remember following the w.i.p. and thinking what a challenging project you has set for yourself. The result sure delivers. Bravo!

Here's my latest '29 roadster (AMT body), a classic A-V8: a flathead Ford (Revellogram '37 Ford truck) on (Revell) Deuce rails, built in the "Preservation" style in as-found patina for the current The Race of Gentlemen (T.R.O.G.) community build.
