Quick GMC
This was posted by a modeler (Chan Rosso) on Facebook. I asked him what the color was and he says it is a Ford color, but he doesn't remember the name or code. I would like this for my Cobra build. Also, how insane is this detail in 1/43? Maindrian Pace
Looks like Vintage Burgundy, 1964-65.
Mike Kucaba
Also looks like Chestnut a ford color for t-birds in the 60's I have an old pint of the stuff.
ZTony8
Ford had a color called Strawberry metallic-or something similar. This looks like that.
charlie8575
I think Tony has it right. Looks like Wild Strawberry Metallic, which was used on Tempos, Topazes, Mustangs, and I think Escorts, in the late '80s. Nowhere near deep enough for Vintage or Heritage Burgundy, Chestnut was much more brown.And...wow, is that detailed at that small a scale!Charlie Larkin
花火
I think it looks like Mica red. Tamiya has a TS-39 mica red, and I found you a pic, take a look,

Quick GMC
Could be Ford Toreador Red. That looks like it could be it. The lighting has a big effect on it, so it's hard to pinpoint. Thanks.

afx
All Competition and S/C 427 Cobra's were painted to order. The available colors listed in the SAAC registry for street 427s are: Red, Maroon, White, Charcoal, Guardsman Blue, Silver, and Ivy Green. No idea if these where Ford factory colors. Snake45
I think you could get to that color with Model Master Kiln Red, maybe over a Rust primer.
