Hemi 'Cuda slot car

Recommended Posts

Been awhile since I've done a drag slot body...this is Revell's Sox & Martin's 70 Hemi 'Cuda done with Slixx decals- Don Grotheer . I painted the orange & white on the hood, roof, and trunk, but, like a dummy, I used the side panel decals and had a heck of a time with 'em...I should have masked & painted those too...

Where do you find these at? So these are like model cars, but you can race them?

The wheels and tires in the photos look like model kit stuff, not slot car drag racing items. I didn't build these, so I can't help you on that point. I can, however, tell you that using model kit bodies on slot cars is common practice, especially with the drag racing guys. We call them "hard bodies", for obvious reasons. Check it out on the slot car forums either here, HRW or SCI. That's Home Racing World, and Slot Car Illustrated. Hope this clears things up a bit for you.

Enjoy! -- Ernie :>)

Yep...what Ernie said...those are just bodies...wheels and tires are just for the photos...guys use 'em for slot car drag racing...I don't do the chassis...just the body
