The Post Office regrets.......

Good thing a picture is worth a thousand words. Here's a few thousand about my opinion concerning whether I would pay a special handling charge to help insure a safe delivery of my beloved magazine.

I'm on my way to HobbyTown to pick up a copy I won't be ashamed to add to my collection.

Joe... you shouldn't have to buy a replacement copy with your own money. You are a subscriber... you already paid for that issue. Call Golden Bell and tell them your copy arrived damaged. They will mail you a replacement copy.

If they want proof, you can email them the photos you posted here.

Last winter after one of the big snow storms, I got a not from our mail carrier stating that he could not deliver the mail due to the walkway not being clear enough.  The thing that confused me was that he walked up the walkway, up onto the porch, and delivered the note, but couldn't deliver the mail?   I'm still confused by this almost a year later.

Snow, blocked walkway, no mail, quite confusing..

My confusion lies more in the fact that he didn't deliver the mail, but did deliver a note saying he couldn't deliver it?  Seems to me that if you couldn't deliver one you couldn't deliver the other?  If it was possible to walk all the way up my unsafe walkway and porch to drop a piece of paper in the mail slot wouldn't it also be possible to drop the mail in with it....just trying to use common sense.

I would ask your local Postmaster that same question.

Whatever happened to that old Post Office oath?

"Neither SNOW nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.

No more?

Last week, I got a call from my mom's care facility telling me they had sent a registered letter, containing a form I needed to sign and return.  That letter was in the mail already when they called.  We went over the information on the form, and I disputed some of it.  So they had to send another registered letter with a corrected form.  I got a little green postcard in Monday's mail, and went to the post office on Tuesday and signed for the second (corrected) form.  The first (incorrect) form, sent at least a couple of days before the second one, arrived today.
