Jantrix
I've got a vintage Nascar kit that would make a great Pikes Peak Challenge racer. I just need some stock car type tires with treads on them because this will be a pre-entirely-paved-Pikes-Peak type racer. Back when it had dirt section of the coarse. I think it should be a wide tire, with decent sidewall, with treads. Maybe the Revell '32 rear tires in all four corners? Any recommendations? afx
Replica & Miniatures offers the nice dirt track racing tires that came in MPC's Super Stocker kits. Part number is T-38.

Casey
Something like these?
Jantrix
Yeah, that's in the ballpark Casey. How wide are they? And where'd they come from?
Casey
I think they're just over an inch wide, and are from MPC kits, but may have been included in some AMT kits, too. I want to say the dirt modified kits included them, but not 100% sure on that. Let me see if I have a complete set, and if I do I will send them out to you. hgbben
Try and locate the tires from this kit or a similar one. This kit in particular comes with slicks and rain tires. It has nice wide fronts and wider rear tires. I have this kit and can take a pic tonight after work.

espo
I think some of the AMT early 90's pick-ups had these as part of an option. Also check out any of the early "Pro Street" type kits as some of those had tires like this. The Revell '67 Chevelle "Street Burner" has some very nice treaded Firestones that are 3/4" wide and 1 1/4" tall. They would make great rear tires. Jantrix
Ben thanks very much. I think those are the right ones. Wider in the rear with plenty of sidewall and treads. That's the ticket. I'll see about finding some.
