Fanof69
I picked up a couple of these in the baked goods section at the local Walmart. First properly dispose of tasty contents. I like to dispose of mine with a glass of milk. Then clean and remove stickers. Not fancy but it keeps the dust off and lets me spend more of my money on models, and of course doughnuts too!! Harry Joy
I am in the grocery business. If you ask the manager or supervisor, most any chain grocery will sell you some plastic clamshells if you ask nicely. For the 15 years I've been doing this, I've sold them for anywhere from ten cents to a quarter. I've also given them to customers on occasion. The "dust cover" that I use to protect painted projects is a round dome cake cover.

ChrisBcritter
Not a bad idea (except for the calories). One suggestion: Turn it upside down and use the larger part for the lid. You could even fill the recess in the bottom (formerly the lid) with plaster to make a base. Fat Brian
Are you trying to kill me? I already weigh 400 pounds, too much of this and they'll have to roll me in the Walmart. Edited December 21, 2015 by Fat Brian
High octane
Whatever works, as model car builders have a lot of "tricks" up their sleeves.
Roadrunner
Not a bad idea at all. I can easily see myself tipping the scales at 400 pounds doing it this way.
charlie8575
I use these to store WIPs from time-to-time. My major concern is because they're rather thin, how they'd hold up over time, especially if stacked. Charlie Larkin
uncle potts
Wait till I tell the Mrs that I need to start buying donuts at the Wal-mart, for my models, she already hates my hobby, this won't help.

But I do know you don't want to use them for your purple pond. They don't hold up to that very long. Found that out the messy way.
