Chrome Brush On

Recommended Posts

Alclad chrome also comes in a spray can. I have sprayed a little in a cup and have used it to touch up chrome and paint small things like lock cylinders and mirror faces.  Note that if you were going to paint a chrome piece, you should do the gloss black undercoat they recommend. Also I find it best to dab it in place rather than brush strokes.

For chrome without definition as you describe. I have used BMF, but positioned the cut edge to be the exact edge of the chrome. May take a few tries, but you can get it looking good with patience.

Is there any chrome brush on or felt tip pen type applicator? I am doing a 57 Ford and the fin chrome lines lack definition. So BMF or spray and mask won't work.  I have a silver felt type applicator, but just looks like grey paint. Open to suggestions here.

Any type of applicator that claims to be chrome is nothing more than a silver paint.
