Can-Con
I actually started cutting on this one about 2 years ago but it was a "between projects project". I'll be working on it more now though . Top has been chopped about 2 scale inches. The front end is almost done. Still have to start on the rear end with the custom tailights. Here's some pics. Here's the body with a stock one behind it to show how much the top has been chopped. A mockup with Pegasus wheels and tires. This is about where the ride height will be when finished. The start of the custom front end with the pancaked hood and extended headlight surrounds. The headlight bezels are from a Revell '59 Chevy, cut from the grille and filed down to fit the openings. And here's the front with the headlights blended into the fenders and primed. Edited January 2, 2017 by Can-Con
Ace-Garageguy
Oh yes... Nice proportions on the chop. The fender extensions for the headlight surrounds are perfect too. Tasty. Edited January 17, 2016 by Ace-Garageguy

Mike Chernecki
I grew up with a 1962 Chrysler as the family car. I love these cars and yours looks great. I want to do one myself someday. You just need a Winfield style fade paint job and it would be perfect.

misterNNL
That front end treatment looks like something straight out of the Alexander Brothers shop. The chop looks just right and it will be interesting to see what tail light treatment you choose. Thanks for sharing your talent with us. Can-Con
Thanks everyone.Future plans call for verticle taillights and a fade paintjob in blues or aquas. Not decided on a hemi or B-block engine yet. Leaning toward the B just to be different and not use a hemi.

FoxRob
Looks awesome. I've wondered what you need to chop a top on a plastic model.

John Goschke
Great job so far! Very nice front end treatment that refines the stock design. Outstanding work on the chop. The ultimate early '60s show engine would be an all-chrome cross-ram 413 with white tuck & roll on the fender wells and on the underside of the hood, and polished stainless on the firewall! Angel hair city, man!
