The top coat (testors 1605t transparent custom red) is a little tricky to work with, for me anyway. It goes on pretty thick and runs easily(bad combination). Plus I think the base coat was a hair too heavy as well. I've used the transparent blue as well and it goes on pretty much the same way. I do like the different shades you can get depending on the base coat color you use under it.
